Demonstrators clash in Portland, Oregon, police warn about 'concrete milkshakes'

Police believe cups thrown at officers and others were filled with quick-drying concrete.

Police in Portland, Oregon, declared an unlawful assembly Saturday after antifa protesters clashed with far-right demonstrators, including the Proud Boys, in the downtown area, resulting in multiple injuries.
Authorities said they received reports that some demonstrators during the noontime action threw "milkshakes" that were actually cups mixed with quick-drying concrete, a powder-and-water mixture that can set in as little as 10 minutes and cause physical harm.
"Police have received information that some of the milkshakes thrown today during the demonstration contained quick-drying cement," the Portland Police Department tweeted. "We are encouraging anyone hit with a substance today to report it to police."
As of Monday morning, there was no physical evidence or additional reports of the use of the so-called "concrete milkshakes." A request for comment sent to the Portland Police Department was not immediately returned.
A woman was arrested for allegedly throwing a substance, police said in a statement.
"During today's events, there were multiple assaults reported, as well as projectiles thrown at demonstrators and officers," police said. "There were also reports of pepper spray and bear spray being used by people in the crowd. Officers deployed pepper spray during the incident."
Authorities declared an unlawful assembly shortly after 3 p.m. and said the demonstrations had descended into a "civil disturbance." Officers in riot gear cleared downtown and Pioneer Courthouse Square, warning that stragglers would be arrested.

Other arrests included a man for alleged harassment and a woman for suspected disorderly conduct and harassment.
Among eight people injured were two officers who were pepper sprayed, one who was punched in an arm, and one who was hit with a "projectile." Additionally, three civilians were "assaulted with weapons," according to the statement, which did not account for the eighth injury.
"We are actively investigating these incidents to hold those responsible accountable," Assistant Chief Chris Davis said.
NBC News affiliate KGW in Portland reported that hundreds of protesters had gathered Saturday, including anti-fascists on the left and members of the Proud Boys and the "HimToo" movement on the right, according to KGW and the Portland Oregonian newspaper.
The area cleared out by late afternoon.

The police have no evidence it happened pipeline, unless they are hiding the concrete milkshake evidence in the same place as the acid attacks.

Completely understandably. I didnt want to think or try that hard. I think too much at work. Fuck one thing up, they pour 500 ft of curb wrong and expect me to pay for it! Yhe nerve on these motherfuckers!

One thing we can agree on I'm sure is they are all lying fucks.

Hope you have a good week man.:tiphat:

Hey Wendall C.

You pour cement curbs, right? Is that the consistency of wet cement? I bet they'd expect you to pay for that terrible mixture.

Also, what happens when you mix sugar with cement? Does it harden?

I don't pour the curb. I survey the alignment and elevation to make sure it is placed properly and drains per plan.

I am not an expert on concrete. I got called off today because of the excessive heat and the graders don't want stakes until tomorrow. But no, I am a land surveyor who works with a civil engineering firm.

No, just as I suspected, you aren't reading the articles. Read the NBC article posted above.

Why Did The Dems Turn White People Into Monsters?

Learn about the intentional racial division of the left

Jon Bowne | Infowars.com - July 15, 2019 Comments

A despicable tyrant once said, “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.”
That tyrant’s name was Adolph Hitler.
It’s as if the Democrats are utilizing the previous quote to the nth degree.
The lies told by the left and weaponized by the media’s legalized propaganda machine are slowing steering the gullible masses toward total racial division based on hypocrisy and a totalitarian endgame, promoted by the Socialist/Communist leftist industrial complex that will not be satisfied until America’s gift of Freedom is destroyed.

The Number Of Global Earthquakes Is 3 Times Above Normal – 6.1, 6.6, 7.3 + Dozens More Hit The Ring Of Fire Over The Last 48 Hours

Our entire planet is being greatly shaken, and many believe that what we have witnessed so far is just the beginning

Michael Snyder | Economic Collapse - July 15, 2019 Comments

Within the last 48 hours we have seen large earthquakes going off like firecrackers all along the Ring of Fire.
As you will see below, a magnitude 6.1 quake just hit Japan, a magnitude 6.6 quake just hit Australia and a magnitude 7.3 earthquake just hit Indonesia. And of course all of this comes just about a week after southern California was hit by the two largest earthquakes that it has experienced in more than two decades. So is all of this shaking unusual? Just a few moments ago, I pulled up the most recent data from Earthquake Track, and what I discovered is more than just a little bit alarming. Looking at the entire globe, we have averaged 193 earthquakes of magnitude 1.5 or greater per day so far in 2019. That is very high, but it pales in comparison to what we have witnessed over the last week. Within the last seven days, our planet has experienced an average of more than 677 earthquakes of magnitude 1.5 or greater per day. That means that the number of global earthquakes right now is more than 3 times above normal.
And the number of very large earthquakes is at a frighteningly high level as well. According to the USGS, there have been 121 earthquakes of at least magnitude 4.5 around the world within the last seven days, and that includes the magnitude 6.1 earthquake that just hit Japan.

Incredibly, that quake in Japan brought the number of global earthquakes of magnitude 6.0 or greater that we have seen so far this year up to a grand total of 84. The following comes from the Big Wobble
Last nights quake brings the total of major quakes (mag 6+) to 84, incredibly all but 7 of them striking the Pacific Ring Of Fire.
The last 38 major quakes this year, going back to the 3rd of May have occurred along the Pacific Ring Of Fire.
But on Sunday we had to add two more to that total.
The first actually tied the record for the largest earthquake that western Australia has ever seen

The equal-largest earthquake recorded in Australia has hit off the Kimberley coast, shaking items off shelves and stunning local residents who had never felt a tremor before.
The 6.6 magnitude undersea quake struck at 3.39pm AEST on Sunday between Port Hedland and Broome, GeoScience Australia reported.
The second was even larger. When a magnitude 7.3 earthquake hit Indonesia on Sunday, it sparked tsunami fears and made headlines all over the globe
A terrifying 7.3-magnitude earthquake has sparked panic after it rocked the remote Maluku islands in eastern Indonesia today.
Scared residents were seen fleeing through the streets and heading for high ground, though no tsunami warning was issued after the land-based quake struck.
None of this is “normal”. As I keep warning my readers, we have entered a time of tremendous global instability, and the U.S. is certainly not going to be exempt.
In fact, we just witnessed a magnitude 4.0 earthquake in Montana. The following comes from Ricky Scaparo
According to reports from the USGS, A 4.0 earthquake has rattled Manhattan, Montana. This earthquake follows the string of quakes that have rattled the globe over the past few weeks producing powerful earthquakes in Southern California and rattling Seattle, Washington. We will give you more information as we receive it.
The magnitude 4.6 earthquake in Seattle that he mentioned definitely got a lot of attention when it struck very early on Friday morning. According to a USGS geophysicist, that quake was “widely felt throughout the Seattle area”…
A magnitude 4.6 earthquake shook Seattle and the Puget Sound region just before 3 a.m. Friday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
“It’s been widely felt throughout the Seattle area,” said Paul Caruso, a USGS geophysicist.
I know that California is receiving most of the attention right now, but we definitely need to keep a close eye on the Northwest, because they are definitely overdue for a “Big One” of their own and there are several volcanoes in the region that could literally go off at any time.
Meanwhile, the shaking in southern California simply will not stop. According to Cal Tech, there have been 10,303 earthquakes of all magnitudes in California and Nevada within the last seven days.
In case you are wondering, that is not “normal” either.
The magnitude 7.1 earthquake that we witnessed back on July 5th did not cause an enormous amount of damage because it happened in a very remote location.
But we should definitely not take that quake lightly, because it was extremely powerful. According to the Los Angeles Times, it actually “packed the energy of 45 nuclear bombs”…
When the magnitude 7.1 earthquake ruptured the earth in the Mojave Desert, it packed the energy of 45 nuclear bombs of the type that fell on Hiroshima.
Can you imagine if such a quake had happened in downtown Los Angeles?
And if a magnitude 9.0 earthquake were to hit southern California someday, it would be 707 times more powerful than the magnitude 7.1 earthquake that we just witnessed.
Hopefully such a quake is still a long way off, but we have witnessed renewed shaking in the region within the last 24 hours. The following comes from the Express
California has since experienced a number of aftershocks with a seismic swarm hitting southern California in the past 24 hours.
Over the course of the last 24 hours, there have been 762 earthquakes in California, 29 earthquakes were over a magnitude of 2.5.
Unfortunately, this is not just a localized phenomenon.
As I showed at the beginning of this article, the number of global earthquakes is three times above normal right now.
Our entire planet is being greatly shaken, and many believe that what we have witnessed so far is just the beginning.

Trump moves to effectively end asylum at Southern border

By COLLEEN LONG2 hours ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration said Monday it will end asylum protections for most migrants who arrive at the U.S.-Mexico border in a major escalation of the president’s battle to tamp down immigration.
According to a new rule published in the Federal Register , asylum seekers who pass through another country first will be ineligible for asylum at the U.S. southern border. The rule, expected to go into effect Tuesday, also applies to children who have crossed the border alone.
The rule applies to anyone arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border. Sometimes asylum seekers from Africa , Cuba or Haiti and other continents arrive there, but the vast majority of migrants arriving recently come from Central America .
There are some exceptions, including for victims of human trafficking and asylum-seekers who were denied protection in a country. If the country the migrant passed through did not sign one of the major international treaties governing how refugees are managed (though most Western countries signed them) a migrant could still apply for U.S. asylum.
But the move by President Donald Trump’s administration, even if blocked by courts, is reversing decades of U.S. policy on how refugees are treated and marks an escalation even compared to other hardline efforts meant to choke off the flow of people from poor and war torn nations.
Attorney General William Barr said that the United States is “a generous country but is being completely overwhelmed” by the burdens associated with apprehending and processing hundreds of thousands of migrants at the southern border.
“This rule will decrease forum shopping by economic migrants and those who seek to exploit our asylum system to obtain entry to the United States,” Barr said in a statement.
The policy is almost certain to face a legal challenge; the American Civil Liberties Union already signaled it would sue. ACLU attorney Lee Gelernt, who has litigated some of the major challenges to the Trump administration’s immigration policies, said the rule was unlawful.
“The rule, if upheld, would effectively eliminate asylum for those at the southern border,” he said. “But it is patently unlawful.”
U.S. law allows refugees to request asylum when they arrive at the U.S. regardless of how they did so, but there is an exception for those who have come through a country considered to be “safe.” But the Immigration and Nationality Act, which governs asylum law, is vague on how a country is determined “safe”; it says “pursuant to a bilateral or multilateral agreement.”
Right now, the U.S. has such an agreement, known as a “safe third country,” only with Canada. Mexico and Central American countries were considering a regional compact on the issue, but nothing has been decided. Guatemalan officials were expected in Washington on Monday, but apparently a meeting between Trump and Guatemalan President Jimmy Morales was canceled amid a court challenge in Guatemala over whether the country could agree to a safe third with the U.S.
The new rule also will apply to the initial asylum screening, known as a “credible fear” interview, at which migrants must prove they have credible fears of returning to their home country. It applies to migrants who are arriving to the U.S., not those who are already in the country.
Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan said additional funding given by Congress for aid at the U.S.-Mexico border isn’t enough.
“Until Congress can act, this interim rule will help reduce a major ‘pull’ factor driving irregular migration to the United States.”
Trump administration officials say the changes are meant to close the gap between the initial asylum screening that most people pass and the final decision on asylum that most people do not win. But immigrant rights groups, religious leaders and humanitarian groups have said the Republican administration’s policies amount to a cruel effort to keep immigrants out of the country. Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador are poor countries suffering from violence .
“This is yet another move to turn refugees with well-founded fears of persecution back to places where their lives are in danger_in fact the rule would deny asylum to refugees who do not apply for asylum in countries where they are in peril,” said Eleanor Acer of Human Rights First. “The president can’t stand the fact that seeking protection in the United States is legal, so he’s doing everything he can to make the asylum process as difficult as possible.”
The treaties countries must have signed according to the new rule are the 1951 Convention relating to the Status of Refugees, the 1967 Protocol or the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. But, for example, while Australia, France and Brazil have signed those treaties, so have Afghanistan and Libya, places the U.S. does not consider safe.
Along with the administration’s recent effort to send asylum seekers back over the border , Trump has tried to deny asylum to anyone crossing the border illegally and restrict who can claim asylum, and the attorney general recently tried to keep thousands of asylum seekers detained while their cases play out.
Nearly all of those efforts have been blocked by courts.
Meanwhile, conditions have worsened for migrants who make it over the border seeking better lives. Tens of thousands of Central American migrant families cross the border each month, many claiming asylum. The numbers have increased despite Trump’s derisive rhetoric and hard-line immigration policies. Border facilities have been dangerously cramped and crowded well beyond capacity. The Department of Homeland Security’s watchdog found fetid, filthy conditions for many children. And lawmakers who traveled there recently decried conditions .
Immigration courts are backlogged by more than 800,000 cases, meaning many people won’t have their asylum claims heard for years despite more judges being hired.
People are generally eligible for asylum in the U.S. if they feared return to their home country because they would be persecuted based on race, religion, nationality or membership in a particular social group.
During the budget year for 2009, there were 35,811 asylum claims, and 8,384 were granted. During 2018 budget year, there were 162,060 claims filed, and 13,168 were granted.

You post a lot, pipe, but from reading the things you post, it’s pretty obvious you don’t think about them at all. Impossible that there could be fake reports of concrete milkshakes, so the media must be hiding the actual investigation, I guess, along with hospital records for the fake reports of acid attacks...and the fake ‘antifa’ website where the “attacks” were “planned”.

With gullibles like you in the field, the permanently-wealthy will always have people to step on

Social media giant allows internet users to threaten Infowars personalities

Antifa and even Joe Biden have expressed calls for violence against common sense, patriotism, and American decency.
Meanwhile, social media sites continue their vague explanation as to why calls for the death of Infowars personalities have been permitted.

Radicalized Leftists Are Terrorizing America

Political polarization becoming larger threat

Jon Bowne | Infowars.com - July 15, 2019 Comments

Congressional circus theatrics are dooming the Democrats’ chances of connecting with most Americans, regardless of party affiliation.
An Axios poll reveals that moderate Democrats are perplexed by the anti-American leftist uproar infestation.
A newly released internal poll of Democratic swing voters found that just 9 percent have a favorable view of Rep. Ilhan Omar, while just 22 percent view Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez favorably.
Rather than side with open borders and the abolishing of national security, most Americans are too smart after eight years of Obama to fall for manufactured spectacles on the hill.
Meanwhile, communist Antifa oriented incidents are increasing as the recent bomber in Washington State expressed a call to violent action in a letter praising his comrades and then proceeded to bomb an ICE facility with Molotov cocktails.
Officer Loretta Cool with the Tacoma Police Department described the mad bomber’s lunacy, saying, “He was throwing these items at the building in an effort to set it on fire. It didn’t work, it’s a concrete building.”
The bomber, Willem Van Spronsen, who was also carrying a rifle, was shot dead by police.
We must use the laws on the books to nip the Communist revolutionaries plaguing our Republic in the bud before our own inaction inevitably spirals out of control.

Pipeline, are you stating that Donald Trump did not tweet the following?

So interesting to see “Progressive” Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly......
....and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful Nation on earth, how our government is to be run. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came. Then come back and show us how....
...it is done. These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!

So what if it wasn't acid attacks? Are you saying antifa isn't a violent organization that uses said violence to squelch speech they don't agree with using weapons of all sorts??

That’s EXACTLY what *I’m* saying, Wendell: Nazis and other white-nationalist types have a long and well-documented history of street violence, they regularly bring REAL weapons to their gatherings, including rifles, pistols, knives, brass knuckles, clubs of all sorts...and they have been known to charge and attack non-violent counter-protesters, with those weapons as well as with cars, fists, feet...all much better-documented than these “reports” that add up to nothing.

So tell me, Wendull, if you saw a group of stick-wielding Nazis charging a group of families holding signs, would you just watch?

Or would you get in the way?
