You wouldnt happen to have any bud porn from the mango around would you? What kind of high do you get from her? Ive found some thai varieties to be surprisingly mellow
These are a couple I've found mate. It is anything but mellow. Super intense floating on thin air, heart beating, mind bending. Just a few abjectives to describe her but I think you get the picture haha

Anybody receive Kasi replacements form @Therealseedcompany or hear anything about replacements? Bought some and was later informed the seed were bad... and wondering what was going on with the replacements?

nice coincidence, I literally received and opened the envelope 5 minutes ago.
Did either of you grow any of the Kasi out? I got a pack when they first released but havent seen any grows. Got one soaking to see whats up.

if I remember right, the kasi were the ones that wouldn't germ.
the replacement was I think highland lao #4 and something else (can't remember exactly right now), didn't come around to germing them yet.

but you should not expect much evaluation from me anyway, I grow outdoor in a climate not suitable at all for these sorts of sativa's. I'm using them for breeding projects, some hybridisations and some generations of selections and I might get something that I can actually grow out to it's potential and evaluate for how it smokes, but that takes time (years), and by then it's probably not much of an accurate guide to what you'll find in the original seed batch anyway.

so beyond some basic growing traits I can't tell you much even when I do germ some. I'll just be harvesting seeds and smoking nothing from those plants.

I use a 110 to sift then a 305 to clean it up, out in the garage when it’s dry and below freezing out. I used to run it through a 156 as well but honestly didn’t think it did anything but reduce the quantity. This year I have enough to really play around with. So I’ll see if it’s clean enough to heat up a bit with a little water, and try to make the nice tacky taffy-like hash I see on IG, and maybe up my game from shoe hash.

I’ll end up giving most of it away, I’m a lightweight lol

Dry-sifted the Waziri and Balkhi Repros that were grown outdoors last year during the past few weeks; ended up with over a pound between the two. Still have 20 oz of Waziri Repro and 3 oz Balkhi Repro flower curing in jars. Cannot recommend the Waziri highly enough, especially the garlic pheno -
More than a pound of hash o_O ! If I assume that dry sift is a 10% extraction method, that means you must've had about 10 pounds of dry buds to process, am I correct ? Making my own dry sieved hash is my dream ! If I could get about 10g of a bit of every kind of hash I'd be more than happy ! a chunk of Lebanese, a tolla of Nepal, a nice slab of Nanda Devi etc. Sample many tastes, colors, aromas and effect of course... Dry sift is the best wayy to consume cannabis IMO, most flavoursome and most refined ! Will you press your resin ?

Lebanizer once you have the dry shift what is the best method to use it? I know how simple this question might be… you have to press it before or straight powder could be use let say in a vaporizer?

Pressing (and letting age) is best as the pressing triggers chemical reactions that change the aroma for the best. The best (most striking) example I can give is this one: I once had the Hindu kush strain from sensiseeds. The living plant smelled of hash, lemon and mint. The dried bud smelled of an offputting acrid smell and the aged pressed resin smelled of a strongly lemoney musky smell reminiscent of fresh human sweat. Very heady aroma. I loved it.

I wonder if pressing the resin does something chemically akin to malawi cobbing for weed. I'm unexperienced with cobbing but having read tangwena's extensive thread about that subject made me wonder a lot about that. I mean if your handling of your product -weed or resin- alters the aroma, then you're altering the terpenes (and possibly other chemicals) and thus because of the entourage effect, you're also altering the high... Which is why I intend to experiment with cobbing at one point.

It was around 10 lbs equivalent to cured flower, although by the time it gets fully dessicated after a couple or three months it’s probably down to half that weight.

I make heel hash out of it. I’d love to heat it with water and hand roll it into stretchy greasy taffy like the Afghan hash masters do, but I can’t smoke it out of a huge chillum with charcoal like they do in the chillum house. So I do the heel hash instead - I add 2 grams of water to 7 grams of sift and it forms up into a solid while somewhat flexible chunk after walking around on it for a day. It ends up drying into something that can be smoked out of my water pipe and regular pipe.

Hashishene, the new terpene of cannabis


A study conducted by Jean-Jaques Filippi, Marie Marchini, Céline Charvoz, Laurence Dujourdy and Nicolas Baldovini ("Multidimensional analysis of cannabis volatile constituents: Identification of 5,5-dimethyl-1-vinylbicyclo[2.1.1]hexane as a volatile marker of hashish, the resin of Cannabis sativa L.") at the end of 2014 seems to have found the answer to this question. According to these researchers, the typical "hashish flavour" of many resin extracts made from dried and oxidized buds comes from the degradation of a single terpene, which creates an unusual and rare monoterpene (5,5-dimethyl-1-vinylbicyclo[2.1.1]hexane). The five researchers propose in their study a name for this particular monoterpene, Hashishene. While the rearrangement of myrcene and the formation of 5,5-dimethyl-1-vinylbicyclo[2.1.1]hexane was already investigated by Robert S. H. Liu and George S. Hammond in 1965 (US 3380903 A), this phenomenon had never been observed before in hashish samples.
