Hello ICMAG community! I'm back from a few weeks of vacation, SSSTN#1 is making good progress!
Look at this yellowing, difficult to identify...lack of nitrogen?irregular watering? Anyway I plan to repot hoping to resolve the bulk of the problem, let's take the photos!

I repotted it 2 days ago in an 11L, after a few adjustments and slight stretching I let it resume its repotting and leave for flowering which should arrive by the end of August I think!

I come to give you a smoke report on the two SSSTN phenos that I encountered: SSSTN#2 is the first that I harvested, this pheno is I think a mixture of Sour diesel with Thaï Nevil at least in effect , I don't know the SSH used to be able to say if it shows through... its effect is typically sativa with a slight indica descent at the end, its smell is particular after refining the lemon has disappeared, it looks more like a sauce with aoili, I feel vegetables like celery...there is also a touch of acidity and gas! This is what I can say about it...
Let's move on to SSSTN#1 (pearl), it's a completely different beast, 0 indica effect detected, Thai Nevil 100%, a taste and smell with magical combustion, a fantastic blend, again more fruit taste itself speaking, the mixture of aromas moves towards a spicy incense, I smell camphor, pepper...there is gas too which reminds me a little of acetone, a little sweet touch coats everything but I don't have no names for that! the high of this one hits me 2 to 3 times harder than SSSTN#2, it's simple I capitulated halfway through the first joint on this one, it catapulted me straight into my memories of my first time! That's it for the report, don't hesitate if you want other details it's my first report I'm probably forgetting other interesting things... Very happy to have this product in my collection

I let her regain her emotions in her new shoes now, it's a soil rich in guano so maybe a little strong at the time, the pistils are not yet there visually but she has this way of standing which makes me say it won't be long, wait and watch

Here's some news, I see the first pistils and given its flowering behavior it looks a lot like this famous wild pheno, look at the branches coming out in a certain way after the pistils appear, good weather level
it's very changeable and we're going to get quite a bit of rain in the next few days... wait and see

Bonus: There is a male nearby...
Another subject I had planted several seeds from another regular cross in this case "Santa marta colombian gold BX x oaxacan tribute V2" but between slugs and snails and this ultimately humid weather they ate two, the only survivor is this male! Question to the experts, I would certainly like to do a cross with the SSSTN but not to pollinate it entirely, I have started to separate them, I think that its presence has already stimulated it and I know that a male can act from very far away' .. any advice?

As for the male:
Yes, once the male drops pollen it may easily pollinate the whole plant if they are not far away.
First of all, carefully isolate the male from the females.
Keep a close watch on him, daily, or even twice a day or more.
Once he is about to drop pollen, the anthers open up showing the little 'bananas' inside, these 'bananas' later then open up themselves to release the pollen, make sure he is kept safe from the female and out of the wind or moving air.
You can collect the pollen in a number of ways:
Place a tray, tinfoil, paper plate, or something under him to collect the pollen.
Or, if you don't need much pollen, you can remove most of his flowers before they drop pollen, and just keep a branch or two for pollen needs.
Once you have the pollen, keep it dry and cool, maybe in a small jar or vial.

As for pollination of a small part of your selected female, a couple of ways to do it.
First, select the branch you want and the timing.
Wait until quite a few white pistils are showing, but you don't need to be middle of flowering.
I like to use a small to medium sized lower branch.
Bigger the branch, the more the seeds.
Even a small branch can yield 50-100 seeds easily.
You can apply the pollen carefully, in a space without any wind or air movement.
(Wind or air movement will spread it all over your female.)
I like to use a little paint brush, dab it in the pollen, then 'paint' the pistils of the female.
(For larger branches, you can use like a brown paper bag, like a baguette bag, put the pollen inside, put it over the female flowering branch, seal up the base of the bag, and then shake the bag. Leave it for an hour or two, then remove.)

Lots of people like to spray the pollinated female flowers with water after a couple of hours.
This effectively removes the pollen, so it doesn't spread to other branches you don't want to pollinate.

Remember to label the branch you pollinated!
You'll see the pistils turn brown in a day or two if the pollination took hold.
Then the seeds will form over the next days to weeks.
You'll need maybe 4+ weeks total for them to form properly.
You'll see them split the seed case, and become dark brown, not green/white.


That's just a quick pollination guide.
You'd do better to read up online.
I'm sure there are several guides here on ICMAG.

You can wait until the Male is near to dropping pollen, then cut off all flowering tops and place in vase of water inside by window , collect pollen as it drops and just paint the lower branches/bud sites with pollen.
The Male will drop pollen a few weeks earlier than needed so collect pollen and wait until enough flowers/pistils formed to pollinate on the lowers

Thank you for all your valuable advice, it will help me to familiarize myself with all this! I'm thinking of putting it in the garage in a very short time, with a lack of light I tell myself that it could be stressed but at least I will avoid too much pollination...here are some photos of its appearance today!

You have maybe a few days to a week before those mature anthers will drop pollen.
You can easily delay him a little bit by picking off those anthers now by hand.

This last week has been very sunny with morning temperatures worthy of the start of winter here, Miss SSSTN has been thirsty and I wonder if she is not undergoing over-fertilization now that flowering has started quite timidly. Some news from the male, I have just cut off all the tops because the pollen is starting to come out today now practical question should I leave it in the glass and shake it at the appropriate time or then I can harvest the pods manually in a few days and crush them to get the pollen out? If you have the time, you can see that the pods open a little bit before the individual 'bananas' open and shed pollen.
So if you have the time, you can wait until the pods open, then cut them into your jar or whatever you're storing the pollen in.

You can cut the pods a bit before this, and after a while, they'll still open up and then shed pollen a bit later.
But if you cut them off too early, then even when they dry in a few days, they sometimes / often don't really have any pollen inside.

The way you've got it set up there, hopefully there's no wind / breeze.
Just let them slowly open and drop the pollen.
You can then gather the pollen on that sheet of paper, to use or store away for later.

For your purposes, I think you'll have definitely more than enough for what you need here.

If you shake them, then the pollen will fly everywhere.
Even when you go to pollinate the female plants you like, unless you want to pollinate the whole plant / room, I wouldn't shake the pollen.
Just brush /dab it onto the pistils of the flowers you want pollinated.

No shaking at all , just wait and very gently pick of pods that have opened or half opened and place on a glossy paper ( pollen scrapes up easy with glossy paper, front page magazine etc).

Then let collected pods dry for a few days ( and crush over 125 micron sieve and separate pollen from green plants matter)
then gently and sparingly paint on lower buds/pistils with a fine paintbrush or even ear bud if you don't have a paint brush.

Pollen goes along way so be very sparingly with the pollen and even dilute with white cooking flour ( first flour dried in oven to remove all moisture then cooled and mixed with pollen) 1/5 pollen/flour ( for Feminized pollen I don't suggest to mix with flour as 70% off the pollen is sterile anyway on most Reversed plants
