i dunno the idea of a unknown mix doesn't appeal to me too much. i know it doesn't really matter but i dunno it pleases and interests me what i'm growing, not knowing would bug me out a bit. i've really heard mostly great things about the nirvana seeds, i might have a bunk plant or 2 that don't quite make the cut but theres a good good chance i'll find something i'll wanna keep around for a bit

hey guys i suppose its time for a little update

its around that 9 day mark and the clones aren't rooting as fast as they should in the bubbler again. i just can't understand why they won't take off. i think its the trip in the mail.the bogbubbles are starting to get a bunch of white knubs growing on the stem but the leaves are starting to yellow. the bubbas are still a very nice dark green but the roots are just starting to form. i'm gonna probably end up having to wait until friday or saturday to pick up some rooting hormone so it would be great if anyone had any advice on the clones, rather i should give them more time in the cloner or put them in soil.

on a second note i started germinating some jack herrer beans the other night and planted six of them today. and theres five more that i should be able to plant tomorrow. the plan for them is to veg them with the bubba and bogbubble under the mh in the flower spot. the bubba if all goes to plan i wanna veg for atleast 4 weeks. if i hook up a 1k watter i'll be able to keep the bubba under the mh while the herrer and bogbubble start to flower.

sorry if i'm rambling at all i had a pretty rough day. it was like one thing after the other all day long. i swear for a second i thought that every individual lived in there own world, its kind of hard to explain, almost like the matrix with all the people laying around dreaming or in a coma. i think i'm just too mentaly drained. ah well i think its time for a spliff.

well 11 of the jacks are planted. 2 more should be ready tomorrow to plant. i decided to just throw them right under the 400w mh. the clones are looking pretty good. the bogbubbles have a whole bunch of white bumps up there stems. maybe i'll be able to plant those pretty soon because theres so many roots forming. i'll have to check it out. i also hooked up my stanley fan right up to the top of my hood. its a little ghetto rigged but i wanted to see how much it would help with it temporarily until i get all the proper materials. it really did help though temps are staying nice and cool and the top of the hood is cool to the touch.

well all the jack herrer babies are popped up and lookin good. i also went out today and got some rooting hormone and a 8ft peice of 6" ducting.

i got the clones in a tupperware container with saran wrap over the top. i'm hoping since they already started showing signs of rooting they won't take too long to root enough to veg them with the rest of the jh's.

gonna have to build a carbon scrubber soon, i've checked out the diy threads and it looks farely simple. i just have to figure out how big it has to be.

i'm planning on giveing the jack herrers only 2 weeks or so veg, i wanna use this to just pick out the keepers so a long veg won't be neccesary. i'm pretty sure i might hook a 1000 watter if i can keep the temps at a good level. i should be alright if i cool the 1000 watter with a seperate fan and exhaust into a carbon scrubber with another. gonna bring me up to 100w p/sq.ft. i'm still debating if thats the route i wanna go or not. maybe not for this grow but the next round. i'm really not sure though i suppose it all depends on the temps. and if i pick up a homebox or not.

oh i know people love pics around here. it sucks because i have this really nice canon camera but i lost the cd that installs the programs so you can upload pics otherwise i hook it up to my computer and it doesn't read it. i've been waiting for one of my friends to let me use there cam. although i'm pretty close to just buying a new cd. i don't really care about replies, people are looking at my thread and i'm keeping record of my experiences with what i have for others to learn from. like if someone were to read through the thread they might learn that its better to root clones in soil than a bubbler cloner if they're being mailed to you. my experience with the stanley blower. its not all about pics. thank you for the tip though and hopefully i'll have some pics up soon!

well the clones are looking pretty good after putting them in the pro mix. the rubbermaid saran wrap humidty dome is working very well. the only thing is i wish i was able to pick up some jiffy pellet things so i would be able to see for sure when the roots are popping out.

does anyone know how long i should let the clones stay in the humidity dome for?

oh yes i fergot i think the new plan is to put the jacks outside maybe keep one or two females inside. hopefully i'll be getting some more clones pretty soon and would defiantly like to make room for them inside. i wish i was able to setup acouple 1000's or some 600's and have them all inside....ahhh the day will come

well the jack herrer babys are all looking good, they stretched a tad bit more than my liking because i had the mh a bit too far away. nothing a little low stress training can't fix. got a fan blowing on them too for almost all of the light cycle to beefin up the stems.

i still gotta figure out how i'm going to work my cabs once i have plants ready to flower. i have this sweet tv cabinet its decent size like 3 1/2ftx3ftx4 1/2ft with two smaller cabs underneeath i could use for holding the ballast and fan and the other a spot for clones/early veggers....hmmmm i guess we'll see

I can't wait to try out the new flavors as well, Sour diesel, diesel, diesel haze and LUI. and i also have some bagseed from the bay area that's 3 weeks in!

that cab sounds ideal. 10.5 sq/ft will give you enough area to work with about 6-7 decent sizers. running the two 400's will give you more than enough light too!

sounds like you got some nice strains your workin with subn, yeah i really like my cab. i'm gonna redo it though with panda plastic i think at some point to make sure it is totally light proof. yeah i'm hoping that once i get my moms all set i'll be able to run one of each mom. i think i could run more plants too if i keep the veg times no more than 2 weeks. the only thing thats gonna get a longer veg is the bubbas which i'm gonna veg for atleast a month i think. and some will be shorter too so it will be interesting, i'm gonna have it so as soon as i take something out another will replace it. i may be relocating though than i'm gonna set up a 1000 watter which will work better with having plants in different stages since they will all be growing up to the light and i won't have to move it around too much. i really can't wait to smoke some bubba though the smell of the clone is amazing. i don't think i'll be able to slack on a carbon scrubber.

I hear ya on the Bubba. My original clones were SD IBL, OD, LUI, SSSDH, and Bubba K. The first bubba cut i got died because it was my first attempt at cloning. The second died because it was a very small clipping(the stem was about 1/4in), although it rooted and was planted the leaves were mere mm from the top of the soil. i guess moving it i broke the root and it died. I was goin to recieve a third but i never did

I did have some bubba a few weeks ago though, since i started this hobby i've noticed more people in it have popped up and i managed to score a lil bubba that was seeded with Bog Bubble, which i hear is fairly close in genetics. So i scored with some seeded bubba!

from what i remember though the bubba was a stinker, but the diesel really stood out. They actually smelled through the package when i received em! Also, you're right i think you'd have to veg the bubba out a month to get any kind of nice yield off of her, i hear she's a slow one and can only stretch up to about 40%, in hydro..

yeah the pre 98 bubba i hear has almost no stretch at all when put in to flower, its very minimal. she smells like dank coffee too, the cuts i have already have that awesome smell. if that bubba is seeded by bogbubble that would be really cool, sounds like an interesting cross. i don't think the bog bubble and bubba are closely related, or they shouldn't be.... hmmm i dunno theres lots of controversy on the subject
