Indoor light dep. Is it possible?

I currently live in Cali. It is very sunny where I live. I have a small 2k garden in a room that I have built in my home. I was reading some info on light dep greenhouses. It seems to me that the light dep method would be better than using lights and hoods. What I mean is that the sun is infinitely better than hps lighting. I have a big room in my house that has a south facing wall that has huge windows on one side. If I do not close the blinds to this wall, it lights up the whole room like really bright. I was thinking that maybe I could wall off the room a little , and then use that new room into a light dep flowering room. Has anyone ever seen, known, or heard about this? Or if anyone knows of any threads or more info. Thanks for reading.

How many hours of direct light would the plants get, and how much light do you think the windows are actually filtering? Those would be the first questions that I think need answering. I personally think that it could work, but would be best done in conjunction with supplemental lighting because no matter how big those windows are, the walls aren't. Windows, that is. A lot of reflected light is likely lost due to the walls.

Your glass is going to determine a lot. All you can do is try, and see what happens.

sunlight through house side windows aint as good as hid lighting or the outside sun. it will work but your not gonna have an impressive crop.and the plants are only gonna get so much sun without a clear roof too. they will grow and stretch and give ya leafy not dense buds .put plants in sun then into dark room . in my case garage lol. but give it a try if you must and prove me wrong. i too have huge bay windows
