LEGALIZATION

Ohio

Update: HB 168 has been referred to the House Finance Committee for a hearing and vote.

House Bill 168 creates a regulated market for the adult use of marijuana. Marijuana law reform legislation continues to advance in several states. This week’s update highlights legislative developments in California, Florida, Ohio, and Oregon.
Further, several significant state law changes have recently taken effect. Cool, no haven't heard of it. Thanks for letting me know! May be useful now. Still many battles ahead.

Of course the Ohio bill is just going to committee but they are going to vote on it! Indiana with their liberty flag, McNamera the Chair of the courts and corrections comittee allowed the decriminalization bill to be heard but refused a vote. How is that even possible? Why would they not vote on something they just discussed? :smoke:

Its appalling how the Republicans are brick walling this issue! I just can not understand where they are coming from. Republicans who are supposedly supporters of the US Constitution and liberty are stonewalling an issue which would give the people more liberty.

Not hard to figure out. SOMEBODY IS LYING

Representative of who? :smoke:

Now we will know how legalizing THC affects the work force, child use rates, road fatalities, etc because Delta 8 THC is already legal here because it can be synthesized from CBD Hemp.

This will go on and on until they want to use it as political leverage or as a distraction. Thats all it has ever been. No reason not to legalize obviously. Looks like Ohio illinois and Michigan are the testing grounds. Indiana is the crossroads, its not a good idea to continue prohibition there when everyone around the state has legal markets. What in the world is going on? :smoke:

Virginia legalized Cannabis, but GOP is slow-walking setting up plans for legal shops to buy at. they also decided that since weed was now legal, that it was okay to outlaw delta-8. you cannot buy one yet, and they are outlawing the other. doesn't sound like access is their goal...be medical, grow your own, or do without.

Not everyone is able to grow and it takes several months to produce a crop. I'd like to see movement in legal states to relax plant counts so people can be successful at growing using whatever method they choose to grow. Some people have shaded properties and may need more plants.

Indiana is made up of a mixture of different types of people from all directions. There are races, sporting events, goods distribution warehousing, so it is not appropriate to have such a different approach to cannabis. If Ohio votes to legalize on Nov. 7, it will be a big deal because then 3 out of 4 surrounding states will have legal access. Kentucky has a new medical cannabis program with edibles only and no cultivation from what I remember.
