Indiana Bubblegum

Bubblegum might be part afghani but I don't see northern lights or Big Bud in this, They are both skunky but have zero sweetness.

The story about being afghani crossed to mexican makes much more sense although Indiana BG grows much like an afghani.

I believe the "strain" was probably developed from bag seed in Indiana like the story goes.
Apparently both nl5 and bigbud do have some sweet fruity phenos. N that's the ones that they developed n re worked into critical mass and critical skunk at Mr nice seeds apparently.. just what iv read on here somewhere before.. n what they claim on Mr nice seeds website.. so might be true.. also seen that some people are sayin bubblegum having similar genetics to big bud.. who knows.. I do know that the critical I used to grow does look n taste very similar to the indiana bubblegum pheno I got out of Moscas old time Indiana bubblegum seeds.. and also looks similar to any picks iv seen of the big bud before too.. same bud structure same knobbally massive donkey dik head buds.. who knows man..🤷🏻‍♂️💯💚🙏

Ive grown big bud and don't see the connection. I don't buy into the bigbud and northern lights story.

I personally think its an Oaxaca and Afghani mix.

I find it interesting that when having these kinds of discussions that people don't want to believe that strains were developed from bagseed. Like they have to be from a known strain like bigbud and northern lights.

But where did these come from. It's easy enough to believe that Mr. Nice developed the less than potent Big Bud "strain" from bagseed right?

Northern Lights was also probably bred from bag seed.

I used to grow and make seeds and crosses from bag seed here in Michigan back in the 80's and even 90's. Not all bagseed would finish but some did and that's what we used to make seed for the next season.

Then we would grow and develop lines with the seed that was initially made from the bagseed. It's not rocket science and lots of stuff was being bred here in the states like that long before you could buy seeds from Amsterdam or anywhere.

Has it been confirmed if the “IBG” clone that goes around, is the actual clone only that possibly Victor/Adam Dunn got seeds from to produce THSeeds BG? Or is the “IBG” clone a pheno selection from old Serious seeds?

Hi Munson! I know that the real IBG clone (pictured in LostTribe's post #205 above) - where it sits in LostTribe's hands - is only three steps removed from the legendary American grower Pi, who was in the elite "77" group of cannabis growers. Pi was highly likely to have gotten it from the original grower. So, it was a keeper selection from whoever created Bubblegum in the US (Silverback?) - the clone was 10-20 years old by the time Adam Dunn got it - and it was from an IBL bubblegum line that had been worked for decades. So, in my estimation, I think it's confirmed the IBG clone seen above is the one Adam Dunn brought to THSeeds to use for the creation of their bubblegum line.

I also would say to Akss above - I think Fleur Du Mal also used the same IBG clone to make the seeds you just poppped.

I had thought Adam was given over 100 seeds from Victor and from there 1 was kept to make THSeeds BG line. And then that 1 clone was given to Tony and Simon. I’m just curious where and when the “Indiana” tag started appearing. Don’t think THseeds ever marketed it as Indiana BG just plain BG

I'm not sure when the Indiana moniker came in - good question. True - THSeeds just called it "Bubblegum". I thought I had heard that Adam had gotten both the IBG clone and seeds - but, the seeds were from a US-based bubblegum IBL that the IBG clone was probably selected from.

I think acespicoli found the link to Adam saying what you say - so, I was wrong - Adam had seeds and started the THSeeds bubblegum with a parent plant that had survived the ransacking of his garden. That parent plant was not the IBG clone - but, I'd say his parent plant was probably her sister from the same bubblegum IBL.

Is it possible that the IBG clone that goes around is the same/rename of Dunns 95 cut? Or possibly from a seed pop of THSeeds or Serious? @LostTribe does your IBG purple up?

They look different to me and I think both are being traded. The IBG clone purples up under the right conditions, i.e., the colder it is, the more purple she gets.

By Dunn's 95 cut - do you mean the cut THSeeds won an award for in 1995? The pics that I said I think look different from the IBG clone may be of that one. The plant looks a bit more sativa and has longer leaf petioles than the IBG clone.

Interesting take from Serious Seeds on their website - they say Adam (THSeeds), Simon (Serious Seeds) and Tony (Sagarmatha/Cerebral Seeds) each simultaneously acquired three plants from a US contact and brought them back to Amsterdam to separately create their own bubblegum strains.

Might be 6 weeks. Just starting to get a ballcard gum stick smell faint but I think its there. Its closer to that than the White Label Bubblegum I ran back when White Label first came out, same time BOG was using same White Label for his stuff on OG. This smells much more like the bags my buddies friend from the STL would bring with him when in town for a concert. Same guy that used to bring the Trinity around before my other buddy got a cut from another dude, of the Trinity.

Quicker and denser than the bog bubble I ran also more gummy, only 3 seeds ran. Well 2 of them were sort of dense but the grow was not mine and didnt go great. This is better and better grow although my meter went on the fritz, are these things hackable via radio frequency? I swear... Its so far off now my blue lab was right on the dot and it was toast 6 months ago even after calibration. They should finish fine though, went to measurements and ol trusty gh drops which served me well enough last time I was without a meter, its knowing the stupid thing is off that matters and I switched rez size so that threw me off too.

Supposedly the 95 cut is the same plant that Dunn was left with after getting his other plants stolen. Same one he gave to Tony and Simon. Supposedly that cut made its way back to the states years ago and is now circulating
