Hey Now, Today I was charged with "knowgly cultivate Marijuna,...several potted marijuana plants in various stages of growth, less than 100 grams"

Also "possess equipment and paraphernalia for use in the production, cultivation of marijuana, soil,grow lights and pots."

These are state charges. Plants-minor misdemeanor-$100
Paraphernalia-misdemeanor-up to $750 and
up to 30 days jail.

I been smokin and growing for 35 years, and finally got caught.
I "fucked up" got sloppy and lazy. I got no regrets though. Drug war been going on 35 years too! The pigs got me. "All I can do is throw up my hands
and meet all their demands"

After all these years I really don't give a fuck anymore. So many have served long prison sentences,even died that my small problem seems more silly than serious. I have to seem "sorry" and plead guilty. That feels degrading just thinking about it.

Remember the old days when you had to put a towel under the door
or burning insense or Ozume. Then a time in 1970's when it was almost legal cause there was so much weed around. I guess you can do something too long. Say a prayer this old Deadhead Rasta. I will survive and trim buds again.
Ending this "Drug War" that been waged against an entire generation would sure help me feel better tonight!

Oh man I hate to hear that. And yes I do remember when it wasn't a big a "crime" as it is today. When as long as you behaved yourself, the cops didn't really fuck with potheads.
I can just imagine how degrading it will be, have to bite that tongue and look all sorry....bet your blood will be boiling.

how did they get you man that sucks one day in the woods i had this plane fly over my patch like 15 to 20 times so i harvested the next day and there were some weird cars parked in the area but i used a semi to carry the plants out then i used the semis to dry them to its funny cops never think a semi would have plants in where i live but if we drive in are regular cars the towns we get followed and pulled over if we make any mistakes

and like POMH said, please elaborate on the situation, its good info for everyone to know what NOT to do =) So take this sad time in your life as a time when you can help others in the community =) then its not SOOO bad, since ur doing something positive with it =)

Hey Now, I just fucked up. Like to blame dubya or even cheney but I'm stuck with a Fredo for a brother. He attacked me late at nite,slamming me against a wall. That really messed up my dental work too. I pushed him off me then knocked him out with two punches. Went to bed, but he called the cops when he woke up. I still might have survived better but I got scared and kinda froze till they put me in handcuffs.
If there is a moral to this story. Live a peaceful life " Something about what's done in the dark will some day come to light" seems true. I think I just grew tired of hiding my grow. Having this garden going for 20+ years got old.
I crawl though a wall, down the leanth of the house and unscrew the door.
Really a nice hidden spot. Cloned,produced seeds and harvested some super smoke over the years. I live with other people and was able to hide it pretty well. Too good really. I'd try to clean up and never could finish. Now I'll pay the cops for doing it for me.
I use to get paranoid after some early sativia and I swear I could see this day happening. I've even got a little grin behind this current trouble cause;
"Hell I've done this for so long, it took you forever to catch me." Now that you got me " What you gonna do to me?". I will be on some long probation and pay a fine. Can I have my bong back? Alas I'll have to keep those type of thoughts to myself, look at my feet and declare" Guilty." This is the first time to be busted for pot. I even been locked up with my stash still hidden on my person. It been a game of cops and outlaws for 35 years. I'm still laughing now even though you took my bong.
There something to be learned from my story. Games get old. Life suppose to be real not just a game. You've caught me. Now what? You took my bong but not my spirit. And I still love Jah Rastafari.

Hey Now, I had my first court appearance today for my herb garden.
My 12 two month old plants, and the two trimmed back Mothers, minor-misdemeanor= $150 with $80 court cost. The pots, lights & dirt are considered paraphinalia and that is a misdemeanor with up to $750 fine,&
a six month driving suspension. You can ask for some driving priveledges for work,AA meetings ect. So it's not the end of the world. I got a court appointed lawyer, but basically when the time comes, it looks like a No Contest plea.

Even the judge was smiling when she read these ridiculous charges. It gonna cost some money but I'll survive. The lawyers must all go to Fla. for the holidays cause I don't go back till Jan. 11. I'm not happy about all this,
but the entire case is a big waste of time. Of course the courthouse will get paid, but those pigs who had to cleaned out my crawlspace garden worked for free! It took 3 men 4hrs, ending the war against pot still seems like a good idea to me.

Hey Now, Thanks for your support. Hell what can you do? Those clowns in the cop stations and court houses are part of a Babylon System. Stupid Motherf.... Really sitting outside the courtroom listening to them talking about their golf games, and doubledipping retirement plans, just a bunch of pigs at the public trough. If you think about it most true American heroes went to jail at some point. I think all good citizen need to spend a night in jail, see what bullshit their tax money pays for.
A guy gave me a picture of a black friend, Downtown Fats who doing 15 to life for shooting his girlfriend. "Fats would trade your troubles in a heartbeat, Rasta." You all have a nice Thanksgiving. Say a prayer for all those folks who won't have a Thanksgiving meal with their families because of these unjust laws against marijuana.

Hey Now, I got some more news, my court date was set for Jan. 11 2007. At least for now. Turns out my court appointed shister did'nt fax a correct plea,so Tues Dec 4 I get this threaten letter from the court" Show up tommorow or were calling all our pals and come and arrest you." I spend a sleepless night,then get to court by 9am. First they want another $300 for my second $3000 bond. "I'm already out on bond !" "Yea but these drug charges are'nt on the first one". So, then I get to spend the next few hrs while they straighten out their schedule. See, my prosecutor goes to Fla. for Chrismas, so no hearing till Jan." Tim,the court appointed attoney, knows he got to fax your plea." Each person I deal with starts out cop nasty, finally get to the last person and she almost human. Basically, "your right this is a paperwork glitch." I'm still out $300 three weeks before Christmas for nothing.
See we got a new"paperless" courthouse. It's a new bld,everything is computerized. The judge was recently spotlighted cause this new bld is all paid by fines and court fee's. Mine are $188 so far. This is only for letters and scheduling stuff. No evidence yet. Your town might want one someday. The docket was filled with traffic tickets, lack of proper insurance documents was the biggest crowd. More than a dozen folks faced this charge. 11 out of 12 could prove insurance, but still had towing fee's court cost to pay. Thank Jah I can speak English,cause the few that could'nt really got screwed.
I get to enjoy my Christmas,sorta but I'll let you know how I make out.

yeah tis unhappy news Rasta... sorry to hear it. I get the para's now and then when I grow and at that point its time to re-assess my security etc and make sure I haven't let things slip.

my attitude for, if or when I get asked is that this is the only grow I have ever done. Its my first grow, never done one before. learned my lesson etc. Here the penalties are significant such as 5 - 10 on cultivation and life on some other aspects.... all to do with Mary tho.

So everyone should be a 1st timer (if they don't know you already)... thats to everyone including and especially family..... don't want LEO asking them how long you been at it and you having told them yeah been at it years....lucky didna get caught before.... LEO will learn that and so will the judge.

Hey Now, I endured Christmas, without smoking,staying strong until Jan 11 when my next court date arrives. I'm out on two different $3000 bonds and been instructed not to smoke or drink. I've obeyed the judges wishes but the New years spirits are haunting I. Should I get out there and party cause it may be years of probation coming when I can't smoke? I know i'm fucked,trouble is should I lie back and enjoy it. Anyway, Jah guide & protect to all you growers. Keep your space clean and your life peaceful and have yourselves a very HAPPY NEW YEAR !

Man it is all about the money! The money they take when they bust you, your car anything they can... atleast where I live, cultivation is felony. Sounds like it could have been worse. But it really sucks! Everyone laughs at herb smoking, until you get busted. No one takes it serious as a crime. Cops usually stumble on to the weed they find. But there is no way they would give up that money.

The wheels of injustice move very slow around here. Went to my last court date expecting the worst. Even left my car at home. The lawyers talked between themselves and I ended up pleading No Contest to two Disorderly Conduct charges. As I walked home I was first happy that no drug charges will appear on my record. Or that I won't loose my driver's license for 6 months. Then I hit the RR tracks. Man, they just railroaded me down the river. I had to give up some urine and see the Community Control
Officer. Is'nt that a neat job title? Well, as explained that the Jamaican Nyiabingi celebration after Christmas.must have contaiminated my urine, I'd gladly give her some more. I also explained that I grow the plants for the leaves. As the fresh green leaves make a real nice tea for back pain. I've ate this stuff for so long it stands to reason some cannnibas metabolites could be in my system a long time. She smiled and explained that I just have to stay away from seshes and medical teas while on probation. I return to court 2/7/07 for sentencing. I'm hopeful for probation,but the judge could be grouchy and I get jail time. It's been snowing and my work ain't happening,so 30 days in jail might not be so bad. I could workout, study Spanish, and when I'm released I will not be on Probation. Not that AA meetings are so bad. Alot of my friends seem to be at these meetings. It just those depressing stories of drunks, junkies,& crackheads that can drive you really want to go get stoned.
Hopefully, I will be reporting how much this all cost next week. Remember to keep a clean room. It's the mental anxiety that really has been tough. So glad I had IC to share my tale of woe with. My day of judgement is tommorow. I'm hoping for a long period of probation, AA meetings and urine tests. As I failed one test already for a " low level of marijuana", I know my second test will be less. If Jah is with I, should be home for supper. If not I might have 180 days to serve. It's 5* here in Ohio. I always said "it be a cold day in hell when they send me to jail for my plants."
That thought got me a little nervous, but I'm about worried out. So, as you raise your chalices tonight, say a small prayer for growers all around the world. My troubles are nothing to the oppession of our society on folks that use and grow herb.
