In the market for a combo meter.... BlueLab Or Tri Meter?

~fvk~

the Lion is going Guerrilla...
I don't know, what did people use to mix their nutes with before truncheons? Witches brooms? I'd get the Bluelab solely for that reason... But then again the Tri-Meter for convenience and what I find to be a more accurate reading. As long as you know what your plants want in terms of ppm's according to your meter, the conversion factor isn't that big of a deal. I have a TDS meter and a truncheon. I haven't had working batteries in the truncheon in ages... But you'll probably like it.

I originally bought a hanna duel meter I think it was a grow check or something... any way pH probe went to shit and they are expensive
then i switched to separate oakton ultra basic pens and they have rocked for 2 years -- very reliable and when calibrated , as I do each cycle, they are are always right on- no adjustment needed. new probes are 35 buck
check them out...

Hanna Dual GroChek Is the shit!! simple & solid as fuck! when it comes to monitors hanna and milwauke are what all the pros prefer to use in the field, from the farms to the labs. I've also got this little japanese made pen with a micro processor chip in it, which is the shit!!!! It only takes one drop of water to check the levels and i've had it for over four years with out any issues! I never even calibrated the damn thing, it shitted out on me just recently and haven't been able to find another one like it. Did some research and found out that they sold the design to another company and are still selling them, just under a different name. Did a little research and found a retailer in the states!!! Otherwise go with the hanna!

Hit me with PM if your interested in checking out that Japanese PH pen.

My only warning...make sure you pick up some test (buffer) solution. Both Ph4 and Ph7, along with some 1382 for ppm calibration.

Once you get the pen(s) just calibrate and your good to go!!!

As a comparison, I was buying the *exact* same pen for $60 each at my local grow shop...thought I found a steal when they were $45 at the local aquarium shop...but this deal can't be beat.

Hope this is of value to others.
