More details in this thread here: here.
The top one is a cross between Serious AK and Black Label White Widow, the bottom one is cross between a Neville's Haze and that same White Widow.
Both are grown in the soil recipe I copied from BOG 5 or 6 years ago:
For 2 cubic feet of soil (I get the stuff in the big orange bag from Wally World)
4.5 gallons of chunky perlite
3 cups bone meal
3 cups blood meal
3/4 cup lime
***Very important to mix well. With this amount, you may want to cut the amt in 1/2 and mix seperately...
As for nutes, I kick start 12/12 with FoxFarm Big Bloom @ 1/2 cup per gallon. For the rest of 12/12, I use EJ Bloom until 2 weeks b4 they're done, then use EJ Catalyst. (For all nutes, I'm only applying once weekly, othewise it's 6.3 water).
Thanks again! Yep -- this was under only 1 600... My room is completely lined with mylar, and I use mylar panels to reflect light back up through the bottom of the plants (I bend light!)
Hey Deft, thanks for your comment. In time, I will start another thread showing my current SoQuick grow (hydro). It's also a simple setup, but is it better? Time will tell...
As for how tall I veg my plants to, it depends on my objective and growing space. In this case, all were under 8" (most from seed). Here's a pic of all of them on the 1st day of 12/12...
Here's another cross of that Neville's Haze and White Widow. Frankly, there's no way you can truly appreciate how big and dense this monster is, even with these pictures. But the bottom line: over 9 oz's!!!
Wow man, great pictures. Truly those are spectacular buds. Let me get this straight, you flower at 8" in 2 gal pots under what looks to be 30w/ft2? How many times do you transplant in flower? Did that 9oz NHxWW flower at 8" too? Sorry for all the questions, just intrigued by your settup. I've never seen a 9oz plant out of soil before, or at least not one in less than 30gal (with many many weeks of veg).
karl -- the recipe? What more do you want to know beyond what I've already described above? Just ask!
3BM - These were all transplanted to 5 gallon containers for bloom. The pic above of their first day in 12/12 was taken before the transplants. As for the NW's (NHxWW), they were clones, and they were put into larger 2 gal containers while in veg, but were also transplanted to 5 gal containers (I waited a week for the transplant after I started 12/12 -- make sense?). But, yes, they were also only about 8". In fact, they were much smaller (skinny) than the others that were started from seed.
