Howdy Hank and doublejj, I'm looking forward to them filling up the new headroom. This greenhouse should have years of use to come, and the soil has a great base getting built up.

There are 2 gals in flower this year already. Last year, I had 2 plants that were harvested in July too. It is kind of nice to get an early chop to freshen up the supply a bit before the big trim time.

I didn't intentionally put the sativas in there, but sometimes things turn out right by accident :jump:
They will benefit the most from the bug protection compared to the quicker indicas that ended up outside. Must be somebody looking out for my best interests without me knowing what I am doing most of the time.

Very nice, healthy plants!! Yeah, it is crowded in the greenshose. You will have to crawl to get around in there!!

Yeah, I looked at your pics on a computer screen and the fourth pic down (the sativa) looks like it may have mites.

Neem oil mate.....Mix with warm water and liquid soap, spray your plants every three days for two weeks then spray every week to control the mites. Make sure you get under the leaves and give the soil a light spraying as well.

Use it meself, slugs don't like it either. I spray it on the glass which stops slugs & snails making their way up, also makes the glass look frosted if you know what I mean.

Where are my manners? Welcome Kushed and krunchbubble, glad to have your keen bug spotting eyes in the garden! You got me on the road to becoming a viable threat to the borg.

I got !#$%& spider mites, and here is what I'm doing about it.

91% Iso with a handful of lavendar flowers and rosemary shoots thrown into a quart jar for a non-qwiso soak, screened back into the bottle and added 5 Tbsp of safer soap plus 2 tsp of Aza-Max and 1/2 tsp of castille soap to the extract. Half the bottle per gallon sprayer load, two sprayer fills went on for the first application.

Did a bit of de-thatching on the MendoLoves to get some of the deadfall out, and pruned some suckers off too.

Here is the working room I have. It is not really necessary to crawl around because of the path in the center, but it is a bear to get to the lower outside parts. A good thing about screen walls is that they can be sprayed through to get to the tops of the leaves on the outer part.

After watering the beds, I dumped a 5 gallon bucket on the pavers to add some humidity, hopefully that will help too. It appears my desert climate is a great one for the borg to thrive, so its time to alter the microclime of the hoose.

And that's it for now. Three days or so, they will get sprayed up and down again, then again after 3 more days. A plea to the beneficial canna force for natural assistance going out, wishing for the best, but still gonna hit them with "safe" mite control too. THey have a good chance because they are pretty healthy, so things will work out one way or another - at the worst, I'll have plenty to make concentrates :tiphat:

Heya RudeDog, thanks for the pointer. Aza-Max is a Neem extract I believe, and hopefully less of a pore clogger than the natural pressed oil is, so hopefully it does well here. It is a bit on the pricey side, but what I save versus buying my meds will easily cover that!

The second application is done, and there were no signs of anything moving before spraying again this morning. I have to thank you once again krunchbubble :thank you: You pointed out the problem, and my plants thank you too.

I agree with RudeDog about the Neem. I use Einstein Oil wich is a cold pressed Neem (warm water and Ivory soap). AzaMax I believe has something systemic in it that Azatrol does not. They both are a form of Neem, if I were to spray Azatrol/AzaMax I would wear a hat, goggles, respirator, long sleeves and long pants.

Hiya Kushed. The shop only had Azatrol when I went to resupply the AzaMax, so that is the current base now. I agree with the personal protective gear also. They will get Azatrol sprayed twice more, then the weekly maintenance will be with a generic looking Neem oil jug for the base. Thanks for the tips, I have been either lucky or ignorant up to this point.

looks sick dude! I'm really impressed with all the great greenhouses or should I say hooses that are on IC right now, makes me jealous and also makes me think I should have started earlier! Do you worry about PH at all in your beds? Take it easy, PEACE!

Howdy caligreen, welcome to the hoose my neighbor a bit south I think.

I don't worry too much about the PH in the beds, the soil mix has both dolomite lime and gypsum in it along with sul-po-mag, peat, coir, plain ole dirt, perlite, gravel plus lots of compost and other amendments like kelp, alfalfa, soft rock phosphate, wood shavings, rice, and whatever else I gathered from around the yard. Local tap is around 8.2 with added cloramine straight from the hose.

I fert with Alaskan Fish 5-1-1 that gets mixed in a 5 gallon bucket with about 3 cups of coffee and a cup of nettle tea and a quarter cup of diatomaceous earth mixed into it every 2 weeks until they start showing flowers - then AK Fish 0-10-10 gets added on top of the rest for a couple feeds until the 5-1-1 gets dropped. The coffee probably has very little effect on soil PH, but a bit of added acidity can't hurt :) They also got a couple feeds with Black Soldier Fly leachate powder mixed up by JackTheGrower - it seems to give a bit of oomph to early formation of strong stems and has shown early and hearty setting of fruit on tomatoes and strawberries for him.

its no problem....

but please still spray once a week for a couple more weeks....

the adults may have died, but the eggs did not....

the spraying over the next few weeks will kill whats hatching and hopefully you can completely wipe them out....

i would REALLY recommend a pyrth bomb in there, you have a shitton of foliage. the small white can with 4.0% pyrth is the absolute best, everything else is .4%! again, i would do two bombs, about 7 days apart....

It seems this stuff will be going the way of Gravity in California.

The price got knocked up by $14 a can for the stock remaining at the only shop within miles that still had it. It must work, because California has taken it off the allowed list.

This stuff has been off the shelves for a while...But if you ask there are certain shops with it in the back...I remember when they were 21.99
