It seems all enviro issues are now under control. They have to flower eventually, right? indica can't veg forever in 12/12 right? Anybody know about ventralization? Thanks Jexter

if you have 4 inch flanges on your hood, the air in the whole system aint moving anymore than 180ish cfm, that's why i ask..... doesnt matter how big the fan is , or ducting or filter if the whole thing bottlenecks to 4 inches, 4inches worth of air flow is not enough to cool a 1000 watt lamp well at all.... and may be a reason why the room heats up so much...

Hiya THCaesar,

This 4" duct with a 175 on the exhaust side cooled the 1k hortilux hood off tremondously..You could easily touch the glass

What really helped this hellish room was a 14" exhaust attic fan..I built a 2'x2' plywood box on the interior side around the fan...Put two 8" duct runs from the box to the highest points in the room, One above each light...Set the thermostat to turn on at 80f. I also ran the 4" light exhaust into this box. The 8" runs had excellent suction when the fan went on and could evacuate the room air in minutes. The box also prevented any light exhaust heat from re entering the room when the exhaust fan was off, sealed box also prevented outside light leaks from the big attic fan. Sorry, no box pic

Ick

The left side exhaust ran into the sealed box with the 2-8" exhausts.
The right side is passive intake from an outside vent

Have you used that pro-silica stuff before in your earlier grows..?
I found out the hard way long ago that silicon is tricky stuff.....
Definately you would not use it during the flowering stage - at all
Only in the veg phase....
