I feel sorry for what made this event come to such an unfortunate stop, for all involved.
I have already agreed to be available for a day in Haarlem, for a nice smoke out with friends and co-growers.
It so happens to be I have the basement underneath Willie Wortel's Sinsemilla empty, I moved the content, a complete Hempmuseum, to Spain.
I want to offer the basement, and an office on the top floor above the shop, as an alternative spot to hold any cannabis tasting or testing event.
Just let me know if you see any use for the 4 room basement and a judges office. The coffeeshop is available as well, of course.
I'll look up some new, cool bongs....

Well this is the worst news I have heard in a long time. After a really shitty year i was hoping to be able to make it to amsterdam to see some of my friends but I see not even this will work out.
Gypsy I know this must have been a really hard decision for you to make. Not many people would be willing to write off all that money for somebody else's safety. You really are a special person.

......it was with great trepidation that I made the descision to back out of the event when most all of it was organized already.......There were certain threats made to the security of certain growers/breeders that are good friends and this set the warning bells off.....
...With an event such as this word gets around pretty fast since there is no other like it........I have not really advertised it at all other than the odd announcement and word of mouth......and I reckon that it can still go ahead as an un-organized get-to-gether .......Best to ask any who wish to show their fine flowers and hash to just bring them along, have it available for others to taste...........You can overnite most anything to your Amsterdam hotel for pick-up on your arrival...........and if it gets found en-route all the Dutch customs would do is confiscate it........

This is sad news for some people I am sure...
but I think it's a good thing if Gypsy is putting everyones safety, happiness & security ahead of anything else.
Hopefully next year will bring a more relaxing and condusive climate.
