most dogs are way cooler than most people. i have noticed over the years that the folks my dog did not like right off the bat ended up being the sketchy ones that you don't want around. want to meet women? take your dog & a frisbee to a park & start playing with the dog. soon, every little kid wants to throw the frisbee for the dog. then, their mothers/sisters will wander over to make sure you aren't some kind of weirdo. you AREN'T a weirdo, are you? wondering if you are retarded because you prefer dogs to people makes you seem thoughtful to me, not retarded...:tiphat:

As I get older, I have realised that people are mostly dicks who are just in it for themselves.
There are some wonderful people out there, but too many are just mendacious.
Our little family unit is completed by our animals; plus, it's very healthy to have them in the house with children. I doubt there'll be many allergies for my son.
Oxytocin is another hormone apparently released during contact and that benefits everyone :)

I removed my stupid comment. It was a joke, and apparently not appreciated by the moderators. I am sorry, just a stupid moment of stoner humour. I really love dogs too. I spend a good part of every day walking and talking to me dogs. However, I spend more of the day dealing with people and their hurt butts over something they don't care for. Like that comment I removed. Sorry for any offense.

Starting to think I might be retarded or something...

I work, have a pretty good job actually but when it comes to socializing I am literally more comfortable being around dogs than around people...

In my downtime I'd rather be spending time with my dog as opposed to hanging with people. Hell, even when I am around other people and there is a dog present I'll usually end up paying more attention to the dog than other people...

what the hells wrong with me lol?

Nah, you’re most likely just an introvert. (Not to be confused with shy).

Anyone familiar with their MBTI type? I suspect most growers are Introverts.

“They generally prefer interacting with a few close friends rather than a wide circle of acquaintances, and they expend energy in social situations (whereas extroverts gain energy).”

The above is a quote from my type but applies generally to introverts. It’s so true. It’s actually like work for me to socialize. Knowing my type helped me to understand that I’m not retarded either  ... just like you’re not!

As long as walking the road alone isn't causing depression, then embrace it. I sure do.

Best of luck!

Yea, sounds just like me, Ha !
My best friend is my pup, Boomer. He's a 6 month old Jeep Bolio, and my other best friend is my ole Yeller dog. A 7 yr. old Mountain Fiest.

No doubt there. Our dogs want to be everyone's friends...almost. A while back, my wretched mother-in-law came for a visit, and the dogs wanted nothing to do with her at all, from the moment she stepped out of her vehicle.
