Hello everyone!
I've just recently found this site and decided to join.

I am looking for that Haitian Sativa that is the motherplant of Nanan Bouclou. I've been gathering up intel from family members that live.

It's my understanding that Haiti is not big on cannabis culitivation because there isn't really a market for it. However l know a lot of drugs are trafficked through there.

Hoping to find some landraces. We will see.

Thank you!

Unrelated I am very upset that I can not edit my post title. I had accidentally deleted the last "i" in Haiti when I added the "this summer" part and now it looks funny. :(

Get post count to 50, then you can edit and use private messages.
I wouldn’t worry about that small mistake. Most posters here are human as well and most of them act like it almost all of the time.

Maybe the locals call it Garbage.

I was on a Honduran island where they love to smoke import. The local stuff that grows in the area they call "Trash". That trash is actually a Honduran Landrace and it's the most beautiful high I've ever had. Not super potent, but god damn... what a great uplifting smoke. It took me a couple years to get them to grow from seeds I brought home. I'm more inclined to call it NZT because your crystal clear with it. All noise disappears and you can focus like a laser on a task. Great for work.

You can bet your ass I'm seeding them. God will give me a boy and a girl. If not, I'll feminize them.

Thanks friends! I'm still looking into it. A family friend in Haiti does know of some but I need more info. She was concerned that I would not like it because it is not very strong. Lol I'm not worried about that. I hope I can find some awesome strains like TychoMonolyth did.

I asked about Haiti weed from a friend's husband who comes from there. He says it rocks. He said Dominican weed is identical. Makes sense.

Good luck! Keep us posted with lots of pics. I'd love to see pics of a cannabis hunt in Haiti. Also interested to see prices and varieties that get imported and exported thru the island.

would anyone be willing to comment on the origins of haitian sativas? do they follow the same story that they originated from africa or india like the jamaicans or could they be more south american in origin?

any help would be appreciated :)

Hey guys, I just wanted to update since some of you might remember this thread. I am in Haiti right now and have been for some weeks now but I just do not have the time to do some proper strain hunting. I had a family member who lives here look into it for me months prior to me coming. She was right when she said that most people that grow would not be growing a native strain but from seeds from elsewhere. I went to the countryside ,Leogane, and I did find a few plants and my cousin would have showed me a whole field if it was too last minute. It didn't really matter because I talked to the man maintaining the plants and he said someone gave him the seeds.

In order to get into a place less likely to be tampered with I would have to go to towns further in the mountains and because this is a vacation I tried to make into an expedition I can not realistically do that without some better intel and planning. Haiti is one half of a tiny island but it is still huge and I don't want to go anywhere i do not have some family without some sort of indication as to what I will find.

I really wanted to document some plants and have a relative keep an eye on it for me. :( lol
SO yes that is the full story I will have to come back to Haiti soon.
