i recently learned the value of a great trim team. cut, hang and dry. bring it to em and weigh everything, they trim and separate sugar, stem and bud and weigh at the end. $200/unit and they'll do 8 a day.

trimmers are out there Maina, just gotta find the good ones. save your time for the stuff only you can do and get rooms reset ASAP while they trim.

Well you have to choose between the testarossa and the bonsai hero... The bonsai hero has a smaller handle/motor that operates faster and has a longer life... Overkill being underrated and all, I went with the bonsai hero vs. testarossa.

Bonsai hero user secret #1: The replacement trimmers are $360 shipped from the bonsai hero website, and I bought a 12v 20A power supply from china for like $20. Idk what the draw is from each trimmer, but you're supposed to be able to run multiple trimmers on the same converter.

I use my bonsai hero to do a rough wet trim. I knocked out about 2 lbs in about 4hs earlier this week. Mileage varies with the size of the buds being trimmed. Once the buds are dry I get up close and personal with fiskars. At this stage I trim 1-2oz an hr. I would love to have a trim crew for this part, but I have trust issues... Lol

Bonsai hero user secret #2: dip the trimmers in solvent (alcohol) while trimming. All the resin that would slow the trimmers down and gunk the moving parts, putting additional stress on the motor, get dissolved in the solvent. This keeps the trimmers sharp, moving fast, and will prolong the life of the motor. I pretty much dip the trimmers in solvent, trim a cola, dip and repeat... Just don't go dripping solvent all over the buds. Its not hard to get the excess solvent off the trimmers. I store my solvent in a jar between uses, and eventually I'll extract that "scissor hash".

They don't get hot at all if you keep them clean by dipping the trimmers in solvent as you go.

Ummm... They won't cut your fingers off either... The blades aren't sharp like knives. I've stuck buds and fingers in the blades, and they're all intact. Foxtails will get chopped, and clean blades will cut you a little if you get the tip of your finger in them vs. the whole finger. A paper-cut is more painful.

Anything I didn't cover? Bonsai hero owes me a free set of trimmers for as much as I promote their product...
