While not flying, a leaf blower can power a hovercraft. Or hover board.

Your best bet is still the lawn chair and helium-filled weather balloons trick. Tried and true. On a calm day the leaf blower might steer you around somewhat.

Leave the envelope pushing stuff to guys like Mad Mike. :D

St. Phatty has been claim-jumped by the Germans. They took his idea and rigged up a bunch of electric leaf blowers to make an air-taxi. the thing looks like it could possibly fly. Interesting blown wing concept.

Hope is sells well in China for them. Can recall a time when things like personal aircraft was within the reach of the average joe here.
Prior to the beloved Regan revolution which blessed China with the same middle class we once knew and loved.

In 1965, a 150 HP Champion Citabria 7GCAA, could be bought for $3500. New. Back then gold was illegal to own in bullion coin form (fuckin banksters, it used to be our money), and at the official price DeGaul was pillaging Ft Knox ie $35/oz. So that plane was 100 ounces of gold. Today that would be $185,000 which is the price of a much nicer version of that plane. But not by that much.
