If legalized, what's value of raw leaf?

My weed would cost way more than 4 ounces for $800. Probably two ounces for that, but then again 10 a gram sounds nice. I wouldn't go under ten a gram, if Uncle Sam wants $5 off every gram, that's fine. I would also encourage regulating pollen, I wouldn't want pollen messing with my crops!!!

That would be $420 an ounce, for dried, trimmed, cured bud. I'd be happy to make $280 of an ounce. People would profit from regulating and taxes. They could put all that money into childrens healthcare? We could sell it to state owned stores, a lot like booze. They could test it and even inspect the grow site. Check out the ferts and all that good stuff?

I would probably trim dry, just so I could do it all myself. Make dry sift out of that, probably something special for bubble.

I litrawlly went into the woods way out of my way to dump out a bunch of trimmings from some pruning and maintenance last night. Really annoying, but I doubt you can get high off of fan leaves, you must mean that homey G-shit sugar trim. Honestly though,,, if you live somewhere that you can get trim from plants like those.. then youd be cray not to get your hands on the nugs that it came from. Just my opinion and its just mine, so good luck duder.

well; it is a yes and no proposition

the high from leaf is not as intense and doesnt last as long as good bud. however; leaf from some strains {'good' leaf} can be better than bud from other strains

i would much sooner compost my trimmings or do a 'chop and drop' mulching w/ the trimmings

What is wrong with dreaming? I think pre-rolled joints could be taxed the most. As well as trimmed/cured buds. There is money to be made. Tobacco is a good examle of cannabis regulation. As far as I undertsand it, in CO there can only be 3 girls and it can't leave the property. Thus making domestically grown cannabis sales illegal.

How would you prefer it to be?

Tobacco and alcohol both have the scenario you describe. I think it's perfect, actually. You can grow tobacco in your yard and smoke it to your heart's content. You can buy it at the gas station. If your friends want to buy it from you, they can. Or they can buy RJ Reynolds' product.

It's not that unrealistic a scenario. Once we get past the huge blockade of lobbyists this is exactly what will happen.

i envision a time when one can either buy the commercial product from the outlet or have a small private garden if they wish

personally i am opposed to a 3 plant in flower limit but; it does seem like a private individual can have a nice garden within WA's 15 plant limit for med

of course if you had 15 5 pounders that could be seen as a little excessive?

exactly DoT, and what the heck are we going to do with all the leftover plant material? (besides throw it away)

I'ma make some of that beautiful ice hash I saw on You Tube. That shit looks nuts. I hear you people talking about haggling prices and stuff, like wow. Don't come to the east coast, mang. Put it this way, I've never in my life smoked any weed that I knew what strain it was. I've never used a vape or done a dab. Been smoking since 1977.

The only edible I had was a brownie in the 1980s, and it was nasty as hell and didn't even get me high. Seriously it was like they chopped up raw plants and thew them into brownies. I've smoked brickweed that had a little spider run out. Shit.

well if you can get a truck and head out West Dot, I bet a person could make a living just from recycling the plant material from dispensary grows!

That aint a bad idea at all. My state is working on medical, though it's going a little slow. I think everything's going to pick up pace on legalization more and more.

It would be amazing if I still lived here when prohibition ended. There'd be a shit ton of ways for me to make money even without doing the leaf recycling. But that is a great idear.

$50/oz = $800 lb.

if prices come way down i don't see much future for cheap byproducts as smoke 'cause the real deal would be affordable to most all.

I think making hash would be best, for personal stash. Unless I had kilo's of it, then I'd find a legal option. Tinctures are good too, but I never tried one that got me high. Edibles are great, I have had one good edible. They put a lot of weed through the butter, so maybe hash would be better? I kinda like larfy bud, I think it looks sexy but it's a rip off as far as weight goes!!!

if you could go buy some great hash, you could receive a bag of sugar and fan leaf, dried up, so you could roll joints without using tobacco.

that would be a really cool little combo.

^^ I don't smoke hash and people around here don't smoke hash, it's not sold commercially around here and there is no demand for it, so if I wanted to sell hash I would have a hard time finding anyone to buy it, they all smoke green around here, so it's not worth the effort.

If the hash is good, there's a market. make some and break some out with a couplea friends or give a half gram to a good patient/customer. if its good someone will want it. i thought the same thing but found that people from europe older people and the people you know who like to get the most medicated are more likely to go for it but if there isnt any, no one asks for it. Here, same thing, neveer hear about it but made a couplea 5gram pieces and bang $150 each. the effort ist that big. a 220/160 micron bag, some dry ice, a big smooth surface and a cheap press. there are threads on dryice keif.
