I'm from out of state and it would cost me a few hundred bucks to get to Oakland CA, but I need medicine for my arthritis and there is nowhere else I can seem to find any. Would i be able to show up in Oakland and buy medicine from a dispensary? I'm trying to avoid dirty stuff from the streets.

Thanks for the replies. I cant grow my landlord comes in once a month. I might try something in the closet but that would still take a few months to grow it out and doesnt solve my need for it now.

^^LOL sadly, usually the stuff on the streets is better than whats in the clubs, or at least cheaper.
Amen..at least around here NONE of us purchase anything from the clubs, in fact my grower friends and I never even sell our dank to those thieves....

Just be resourceful. Go to smoke shops first and ask around - don't ask the workers personally for bud, but asking about local 'lenient' docs isn't off limits.
Sometimes you'll get a nice guy who knows how or where to obtain. Staying in a big open hostel will usually net you at least one roomie with a rec or way to get in. I had a small visit to Cali and got to see inside a few shops - a pretty awesome sight for those who aren't used to it.

I know of quite a few people who have a Dr's recommendation here in CA and no CA DL.

in LA, in the touristy beach spots. there are "doctors" who give mmj recs to anyone with a passport and $100.

Some are sketchy, some are good. most have secrets on the accounting end. I worked at a dispensary, we had a "compassion" program run by us employees and donations (mostly from employees). free weed, free hash, free edibles. whatever we could give them we did. including samples from wannabe vendors that we deemed un-sellable.

@ghoggins. go to southbeach and take advantage of the loose mmj system in CA. buy your weed from a weed store and support our economy. no one here is going to hook you up.
