Cannalicious: Earth juice catalyst is a great product that I still use sometimes. It basically is made of molasses and broken down organic materials. It promotes a healthy micro climate by feeding millions of beneficial micro-organisms that live in the soil. These mico-organisms help break down the molecular structure of nutrients in the soil making the nutrients readily available to the plants roots quicker and are then used more efficiently by the plant. This micro life also colonizes in the root zone and protects the roots from harmful pathogens allowing the plant to use less energy defending it's immune system. The plant then can use that energy toward growth instead.
Other companies have comparable products that I'm sure are just as good. I like the E J catalyst though, I think it's about $30 a gallon and I use between 1-3 tbs per gallon of water on and off with feedings from clone till flush.
I'm not sure but I think it's the same as synergy. Is the synergy from GTG?
Sorry for the long response, I'm blazed.
Thanks Ganja... Synergy is made by Bio-Genesis, which I think is a Green Air Product. According to Green Air:
"A proprietary blend of fermented plant and seaweed extracts providing natural hormones, amino acids, betaines, humates, enzymes and a complex of metabolic precursors. Produces rapid cell division and exhibits dominant auxin like activity, stimulates bud break, enhances cell differentiation, and improved vascular development. Increases rate of photosynthesis and provides induced systemic resistance. This is the most amazing product we have ever seen. If you try nothing else, this is the product that will really make a difference in your overall plant health and performance."
The ingredients only say: Humic Acid, Seaweed Extract and "Plant extracts"
It's my understanding that fermentation needs yeast or bacteria to do the job, and I would think that would be listed like it's listed on EJ's ingredient list (which doesn't list any humic acid). And plant extracts are certainly a little vague.
The wife of my friend is the manager of the hydroponic store I go to. She has been super awesome to me, including 20% off everything, and she's been really cool about returning things that are normally not returnable at hydro stores, including a 1000W ML bulb I had for a month and a half.
Here is the kicker: The product is $150/gallon!!!
Well, I bought some ($80 for a half gallon) and here's why:
*I was blazed.
*The woman swears it's the shit and is worth the money, and she has suggested other expensive products that I have really enjoyed, like a four outlet 24OV relay system.
*I love bio-genesis' Mineral Matrix which sells for some reasonable price. (Mineral Matrix: potash, moron, sulfur. molybdenum, and water soluble zinc, iron, magnesium, copper, manganese)
I am having buyers remorse and why:
*I was blazed.
*Her job is to sell me products after all.
*She doesn't actually grow anything herself, nor does her husband.
*It's hard to believe this product could justify the cost.
*I'd really like that $80.
But after thinking about it, I'm going to keep it. It's been here about a month (I haven't opened it.), and I don't want to press her good nature, and I did buy it after all. I'll report my opinion in a couple of months. Thanks again for your help.
