nice pix my friend !
your sssdh and SD was also very good ! although we have the same SSSDH cut ..i still found there was quite some diffrence in taste and smell....but i'm shure these are inviromental issues.
Nway gladd you took some pix of the icfolks's weeds :)

ohw yea and do you remember our small talk about me not having the real cheese?not wanne start anything but
2 be honest i was like...ohw boy here we go again...so please just ask my friend THC4SIM here ...he tell you what cut i have ...coz i do believe him when he says its the exodus cut.

Ive noticed over the years that enviroment plays a big role on how your bud turns out. I sent a friend the sour diesel cut and he grew it out and it did not taste or look like the cut i sent him but this was due to his enviroments and grow methods. Your ukcheese is definatly banging bro and i was probably wrong saying it might not be the real deal, i think due to your enviroment the buds looked slightly different but your uk cheese definately fucks you up, i smoked your cheese joint on the big wheel:bump:

Core your SSSDH i would say smelled much better than my sssdh but my buds were a bit more chunkier than yours, Mrhaze420 prefered your sssdh coz it was more tastier and stenchier. The reason my sssdh wasnt as smelly as yours is coz i took her 12 weeks into flowering and the smell and flavour drops a bit but im into couchlock weed, so thats the way ilike it:)

Feeding is a huge part of the taste of buds. I've seen some big differences in taste and appearance between the same cut grown by me and grown by others.

ECSD is a great example, it can turn out different ways depending on how it was grown, can be very lemony or very fuelly and all the scope inbetween those two.

Which PK booster you use seems to be the biggest factor in changing the taste of a bud, different brands giving different tastes. I noticed a difference when I switched from Canna PK13-14 to AN Hammerhead for instance.

Environment can also play a big role. density and bud structure can be hugely influenced by the temperature and humidity. I remember growing some Trainwreck one summer a few years ago and I had heat issues so it turned out very foxtailed and quite airy, but it blew your head apart like a dum-dum. A friend grew the same cut at the same time, but his grow was in a cellar so didn't have the heat issues, so his buds were much less foxtailing, much more chunky and dense. They were no more tasty or potent though, just looked very different.

One more thing that can affect density and appearance is when you start cutting out the N and feeding mucho PK. For a 9 week strain I like to cut out the N at the end of week 5 and only give PK weeks 6 and 7, then water for weeks 8 and 9. Some people like to give N longer than this but to me, it negatively affects calyx to leaf ratio, flowering time, etc.

The main thing about these cup gatherings besides the camaraderie and fun is comparing each other's buds and sharing tips and techniques. I remember one guy who had grown Cheese for years having a 'penny just dropped' moment when he saw and smoked someone else's Cheese for instance and went home and changed how he grew for the better.

yea mate i think its all inviromental...coz your sssdh was indeed more chucky then mine..but aslo very tasty imo...still, diffrences you can notice quite hard, when you smoke it for years these subtle changes come tru quite hard.
Nway subject closed ;)

i do wanne say that my current MO is to feed as little as i can....weed tastes much better in the end ....i gave like 5 feedings in 11 weeks and only 3, PK 13/14 feedings....in a light mix
and i agree with what indiffrent is saying...growstyle ;nutes, medium ect these are all factors that contributed to the endproduct.indeed gatherings as these are a way to learn others peoples techniques and way's indepth.c u all next year :D

Hi Core

I totally agree, the less feeding the better, as long as the plants are healthy and happy, then you don't need to feed anymore.

I grow in coco so I hand water daily, just before I went to Holland I left my plants 4 days with just water and they yellowed up an amazing amount in just those 4 days, so for me, light feeding is not really an option, with coco you see almost immediately when the plants have any under/over fert so I just use the plants as my guide to feeding. I read posts where people talk about getting upto some really high ec levels like 2.2 or even 2.4 with cuttings I have grown and never went past 1.8 with.

The big problem with indoor growing in smaller spaces is you have to use intensive methods to get a good harvest out of your limited resources. This has lead people to use heavy feeding to get max yields, but this does not give you the best end product. There is a 'sweet spot' with feeding where you have the best compromise between quality and quantity, finding it for each cutting can take a few runs.

Goota say though, having smoked buds from both Core and Jah, neither of you have much to worry about, you both produce top notch smokes.

Hey Jah, I'm finally gonna run the Psychosis cut in a couple of weeks, and it's your samples of it I am gonna use as my baseline for comparison. I liked your Psycho a lot. I remember sitting on the sofa in Spain and smoking a fat pure one of it all to myself and really enjoying it. Yes, it's very like Cheese, but for some reason, I like it a lot more than Cheese. I'll carefully document my Psycho grow with details of environment and feeding, then we can hook up and you can try my psycho and that will give us both an insight into our own methods I think.

I thought the carousel that was above the wheel was far more impressive...

Thc4sim yeah i clocked on that cores cheese was the real deal when i got the big wheel and got prang bruv lol

Indiferent, I think the phsyscho had a bit of prolonged buzz compared to the exo cut but still both are still dank pheno's. get a grow thread up bruv so we can see whats happening:)

Taking these comments on board, it's true that everyone has their own way of growin', which does indeed change the end result.

I remember the differences I've had compared to other m8s in the past, some very noticable.

Maybe there should be more discussion on the differences and various benefits of different feeding regimes, more people doing side-by-sides with other feeding styles, as we could find things we prefer by changing it up.

Peace
