Great cup, great folks, great chat, great smokes, thanks to all organisers and can I encourage everyone to bring back more old school flavours for next year?
I don't mind the Zkittlez madness but come on.. ;)
Z is the oldschool now. 🙃

Or where do we draw the line? At Thin Mint GSC and GG4? Or White Fire and Sour Bubble?

I think I'd prefer to see a totally novel F1 landrace x landrace cross on the market.

Bodhi had the right vision when he had his fling with the Cookies brand - when they brought out his Congo x Kashmir. It's a shame that nothing much came to fruition after it, and in the end, the whole thing was only a short-lived marketing gimmick. Berner played Bodhi like he plays everyone, apparently.

But somehow all the weed crowds worldwide now follow Berners vision: All these brands with "new flavors" that keep popping up still recycle the same kinds of marketing tactics (and quite often, the same genetics) that Berner (and his numerous minions) have used before.

Hi FA,
No lines need to be drawn... I like both sides of the spectrum and everything in between but it would be nice if there was at least some representation of strains that are not just sweet and fruity. I also like skunk flavours as well as frankincense sativas. Many afghani cultivars bring lemon into the mix and that's also great ( and I reckon that's the foundation of the current much sought after stuff).

Yeah, I think along the same lines.

I like some of the Gelatos - I've tried #33 S1's, sampled the Sherbinski #41 cut while in BCN, and I've enjoyed a few crosses of them here and there - but generally I don't like Cookies lines that much.

All these different Zkittlez-based varieties have tasted the same to me - like some cheap tutti frutti candy essence - and I don't enjoy the half-assed high. It's more upbeat than typical Cali purples, but still in the same region - a gossamer stone without substance.

However, I've yet to try GMO a.k.a. Chem Cookies and crosses of it - and based on everything I've been told, I think I'm gonna like them. The trashier the smell gets, the more I like it, it seems.

And I think it's kinda odd how we Euros are lagging behind in the Haze game nowadays. I've seen some serious Haze breeding work being done here, but somehow the cultivators don't want to adopt these varieties, even though they'd clearly yield three times more with these Hazes than with their usual options... Instead, they choose to go for the 46-day "real zkittlez terps" lollipops.

If you have to make your weed be like candy, make it be some Amnesia, at least. :p

We have a fairly sick amnesia cut (not ammesia haze!) without any sweetness bur with a weird "dry champagne" taste; its like there is almost hole in its flavor just like what makes a dry wine dry, which in its turn, with a long cure reads like mint in your tongue. Weve named her Mementos, lol, was already going for Memento/amnesia thing but once the mint came out it was just to good to miss that "freshness full of life" reference for any of you who remembers that 90ies Mentos add;)

Ive noticed mint in the offspring of crosses with amnesia core cut lots of times.
More like SSH maybe...

Amnesia x mighty durban was all minty smelling.

Smell is pure amnesia, taste is weird as i said; first like a "hole" in the palete, then going towards minty with cure. There may be something like licorice involved? Had that with the fruity cross with the oldschool genetics.
But best of all and what made it an easy pick for keeper: dense AF, even down to the popcorn bud, like little marbles. This made the viable yield really good, for comercial we cant have any fluff, our guy is very strict. But now it looks like im probably out of comercial and that grow in general as my growbuddy has gone a bit weird again and wont communicate. Ill get my own tent grow up next year and have new people to consult with for some new led testing...
