Just got my new space setup. DIY 24 hole aero SOG, 600watts Sunmaster Super HPS. Aircooled Digi Love. Looking forward to what this brings me. Six JH in the hole now. Six Cinderella 99 are two weeks out, Sweet Tooth and Sensi Star to come!

600 watt all in one? Why? I really like my HTGSupply Digital Greenhouse 600 setup. People can knock them, but until I have an issue, I am calling it GOOD.

So, a little root porn. Also a little Salmon Creek x Purple Urkle seedling on the up and up.

Not all in one, just a ballast bulb and reflector in one purchase, I think Im just gonna stick with my 400W now, and get a Silver Star with Built in Cool tube and lumatek ballast with hortilux bulb.

Just get an aircooled 600... my hot spot hasn't gone over 85 yet... its only like 20-30 more if that... check discount hydro... If you get the 400 you'll probably want to upgrade later... might as well just spend 20 more n get much much more light... I wouldn't be able to compare but people say their 600 lumateks are brighter then their magnetic 1000 watts...

My 600 is 2x3.5. As cool as it is in there, I think I could use two 600's in the full space. But a light rail would give me equal results and cost less to run.

At HTG supply, you can get a Digital Greenhouse 600w upgraded to a EasyCool 6 reflector for cheap. Tony will upgrade to a sunmaster bulb if you want for not much more.

Is thinking that 1.25 g per watt on a 600 watter out of the question???

Of course many variables have to be considered. So lets consider you are using your set-up with your favorite medium, your best yielding strain, in whatever style you want, in the best environmental conditions known to man...LOL.... Also lets try to keep the idea to no longer than a 4 week veg...??? Sounds crazy right???

In a 42 x 42 area ( 600 watts in this area is about 52 watts per sq ft)....

So lets keep the responses to these parameters.....Looking forward to see what comes of this.........

1.25g/W on a 600? I don't think that is impossible. While I have not hit it yet since I got back to growing, I am still working on getting my setup nailed with all the new strains and additives. In the past (10 years ago), I can't remember anyone being interested in the g per watts metric before. For that matter, there were no forums like this where an amazing amount of knowledge is exchanged. In the past, you had a lot of folks that were secretive about their setups and would tell you nothing.

So it appears that you are setting forward a challenge? Are you proposing setting guidelines such as a limit on canopy square footage or some other variable and then having a grow off? If so, should we not have another thread dedicated to a 600W grow off?

so many variables ... i think one gram per watt as nothing more than a sign post, like the 4 minute mile, if you hit it youre doing great, but some do better, a lot do worse. kinda like breakin into single digit handicap in golf

Since photo upload was down for so long, I found no reason to post anything. You folks like pictures, otherwise it is so much like reading...lol. Anyway, the flower space is almost where I want it, just need to wait to buy the CO2 reg. I already have a tank of CO2 that I use to pressurize my kegs of home brewed beer. The room has been designed as a sealed room, for now I am just venting fresh air in.

I put clones in as a test at different stages of rooting/growth to determine what size I needed to put them in. Also needed to test run the new aero system before I knew what to expect out of it and run it fully loaded. It has proven thus far to be relatively hassle free thus far. Just have to switch off between topping off with full strength nut mix or RO water every other day.

I've been trying to put my materials list together then I found out HIDhut didn't stock their 600 or 1k lights anymore.

hmmm 600w digiballast with cords, bulbs, hangers, cooltube, AND a 4yr warranty for under 300.

Looks like I can get my DR120 set up for under a G after all


When do you plan on putting the Sensi Star in?

I'll be growing it along with Shiva Shanti hopefully in the next month
