I have never attended a cup. Don't know what they are about, except strains get voted on.

casual and uncomplicated.....

you get a sponsor to get you into the event.
(for example, a long time ic mag member or someone known to the organizers),
show up and get your samples,
smoke 'em,
vote on them,
awards and party on 420

other stuff is planned but always optional
just alot of like minded folks sitting around having a laugh
