Sup mr. cheese, the Fam. and I will be in the Dam. for new years.We usually take our annual trip a month or so after the cannabis cup its a good time to go!So we should hook up for sure.We will also be at the 420 cup this year so im sure we will meet sometime.I look foward to sharing cannabis and goodtimes.

Dam or Haarlem or someplace else in Holland ..yes........Spain...no. I'll be there and hope to find some of the icmers there somewhere. I too want to nail down the particulars before airfares get trickier to book as they do with each passing day.

I'll be flying out of the west coast, so the sooner the better. Flights aren't going to be cheap at the last minute. I hope we here something soon. Would be nice to save some money on the long flight. As for the town we hold it in. It doesn't bother me one bit. I'll be visiting them both. Haarlem is a cool place and so is Nol. Let's hope we hear something soon.

Same as above, the sooner the better for us across the pond. Id have a much better time spending the money over there that i saved from my ticket being 3-4 times less expensive than had i waited till the last minute to book it.

There may be extra complications regarding venues because of the smoking ban supposed to take effect Jan '08...

Also, "last minute" is 2 weeks - ticket wise. Booking early does not necessarily mean the best price.... In fact, months ahead, the price of the same seat as I got 1 month ahead was 100+USD higher...

Early booking can turn out to be A LOT more. I made reservations and paid very early 2 years ago on my flights. only to find out that 3 weeks before I was going Luftansa and some other airline came out with deals that were 50% less then what I paid for.
Nothing really for me to do, I wanted to cancel but the cancellation fees and rebooking would have saved me very little so in the end I stayed with KLM.

This year in 2007 I booked and paid for 2 weeks in advance. I did keep my eyes out on special deals and sites advertising cheaper flights and deals and did very well infact. I could have even booked the day before and paid very little, but that would have been extremely risky. I may not have gotten a flight. Anyway there are so many flights and so many deals going on that flights are not a problem if booking 2 weeks in advance.

We are talking about Schipol- A very very busy airport with 1000's of flights in and out every day. If you are coming from a busy location - then there will be 1000's of flights from there too. maximum you may have to fly through Italy, Hungary, England, Tel Aviv or some other European city.


What is definitely cheaper is to book your hotels well in advance, and there are no cancellation fees if you cancel hotel bookings at least 1 week in advance.

I see it this way. Some of us work jobs you can't just up and leave for a holiday. It helps to give some notices. Also, It's always good to book ahead. Makes sure you get a room and a ticket.

I'm just a busy person and it helps me to plan ahead. It's very simple, and I'm sure someone already knows. If the cup is going to be held. It's simple as, Yes or no. Not asking where the event is going to be held or what the cup is going to consist of. Just wanting to know the info. If it's going to happen or not.

I'm not dogging Dutch and I love the women. Been super nice to me over the years and has supported me during my break. I would never want to upset Dutch, Gypsy, Old Pink, and staff.

Just trying to find out if it's going to happen. If members think I'm dogging the IC staff. Well I'm not and you can leave my thread. Not trying to be mean or anything, but at the end of the day. When I'm dog tired and dragging ass. I don't want to read or hear member's telling me what to do. I love this site and it's staff and members. If I sounds like I was being rude. I like to use frequent flyer miles and that needs alot of advance notice. Also booking the right spot once in Holland is best done in advance. Some of just need schedules and lists and others don't. No dogging involved. Hope its in Haarlem. Think that could be exciting and different.

I'm hoping to make the trip this year..er..next year. I have the money saved but the big question will be if I have something worth entering or not. I would love to enter an indica or hash but it will need to be the highest quality. I also don't just want o enter a local clone only and see how it stacks up. I would want to enter something I bred myself and it remains to be seen if I have found that winner yet. Let's all hope for a cup in 2008. I really like how this cup is set up and jugded.

i use any excuse to go to the dam, was just there last week for a concert. the shop owners are really talking ominously about the new laws and proposals. no advertizing loacation any more, several places i noticed dont sell alcohol [or maybe all? im not much of a drinker] and of course the fact that a lot of little shops are being 'absorbed' by the big boys

on the plus, i saw a lot of renovations and upgrading. so ob viously someone feels theres a future



ye, so ill be there[hopefully a contest entry too]. and its kinda cool to be BEFORE queens day cause otherwise all the hotels etc will be booked up! im thinking about an appartment for a couple weeks
