that sucks man glad you made it out of this one alive. sucks though that you keeping weak company you got to trim down your list of people you are cool with for sure. its a little too late even if you were not cool with that dude anymore if they know you he could have done the same thing. i'd start making drives to stores out of town stock up and never use a store close to home where people could see you. i have one buddy that makes a 2 hour drive out of state so he crosses state lines to pickup grow supplies! may sound crazy until you read some shit like this.

I'd be thinking about suing someone for the bad info given to the cops and the cops too.

Years ago when my kids were small I had a phone with a 911 button on it. I kept meaning to get rid of it but life gets busy. So one day I'm out back and my friend hears someone pounding on the door. As I get to the door my friend opens it and there are 2 cops standing on my front porch telling me that they received a 911 call. So I pointed to my 2 kids and said they must have been playing with the phone and I think I told them it had a 911 button on it. They asked if anyone else was in the house and I said no.

As they were going to leave one cop stepped close to me still on the porch and said "don't worry about the pot" or weed something like that. I gave him a dirty look and I'm not sure what I said but I thanked them and said I was sorry for the 911 call.

When they left I looked on my counter and a bag of weed was sitting there in plain sight, I'm sure my heart was pounding. My basement had lots of plants, you guys that grow sea of green know what I'm talking about. I won't say how many but there were a lot.

I'll never forget that cop...... he saved my life.

I had almost the same thing happen around thanksgiving time. I got a ph call at 2.30 am from someone I did not know telling me that the cops were watching me . Gave me info that only 1 person could of known . Needless to say things were cleaned up that night and gone over about 10 times in the next 4 days just to make sure. I found out a month later my best friend got busted for forgery and was going to roll on me for a reduced sentence . Asshole !! well the way it ended hes in jail and I'm free. But I am moving to colorado this spring as soon as I sell my house. I was also told by a guy who was installing a new power meter this fall that they can monitor your meter from the office and tell right when you use your power right down to the second. So the popo could check real easy . Glad you got lucky .

All good advice--now that fate is forcing you to make some life decisions, you can do anything you want. Me...I would probably relocate before this summer; cops have memories and hate losing. Especially when they think the game is checkers then find out everyone else is playing Chess or Go. Yep...I would not push my luck and take a chance for an accidental encounter with the boys in blue.

Lots of ways to compensate angels for doing the right thing--maybe a reverse legal blackmail scheme might work in this situation.

In a legal blackmail arrangement, the victim is offered the opportunity to purchase exclusive rights to his life story, and "hush money" is exchanged for the "manuscript"....here you might pay your friend for the exclusive right to write his life story; instead of taking pen in hand you "lose interest" and chapter one is never written--which causes you to "breach the contract" and he keeps the "advance money" as a penalty". Damn shame.

That's how the big dogs do it in LA....and it is all contractually legal; most importantly, you don't put his daytime gig at risk or anything else.

At the risk of thread jacking.
I've got a buddy in vt who is in 40's and takes no shit from the law.
2 years ago there was a fly by in sept. and they mounted up. came in with riot gear and he saw them lining the street. went and asked them what was going on (they had seen lots of plants behind his house) he told them they could park in his driveway so they didn't have to line the street" but in no way was granting them premission to enter his property otherwise.
well they tried to weisel and lie and say if he lets them get back there they wouldn't press charges.( he already had lawyer on phone) And asked the cops for that in writting and signed. Well of course they all looked at each other himmed and halled and said they can't do that. He in return told them that if they don't have a warrant they gotta go.( he had heard earlier in the season on the radio(Vpr) that detected plants from fly bys do not constitute warrant or access. They made him wait on porch for a couple hours threatening to search any one coming or going. Eventually they couldnt get the warrent tucked they're tails and left, Assuring him that it wasn't over. And they were right we still had to get his meds outa there safely.
Last part; When dark came i Like a good friend should went and posted up on his porch with cb radio and he did nite mission from back yard about 3/4 mile threw the woods(in dark) to a empty house that had been abandond by a pedofile who was put in jail(yea!!) Hung/dried his plants in that scumbags house and never saw those pigs again. Another true victory for the people. Knowllege is truly powerful shit. May the luck be on yur side next time.
