OK ...first things first. I apologize for misinterpreting Zen Master's tag line, and I didn't realize that green crack was a strain. I appreciate all the suggestions and will investigate them further.
Can someone tell me what the words "landrace", "defo", and "dank" mean?

I don't think such a strain exists.. there is DJ Shorts Flo which has the high you're looking for but some phenos can stretch a bit and they're quite lanky and yield low. C99 is close but the high can be very racy and confusing, not really stuff you read a book on, could try picking it late though. Also can be lazy on comedown.

Honestly some phenos of Skunk#1 will be just up your alley. I think a SkunkXBlueberry would treat you real nice also

Landrace: Cultivated or wild strain native to an area
Defo: definitely
Dank: top quality cannabis, "Dank buds", "dank greens" etc

I think that ace seeds orient express is something like that, pretty fast, productive (to the point of mold risk),s tays short if lil veg and nice more clear and up high without sativa anxiety or trippy qualities, does have amount of indica there too, but not couchlock. At least the specimen I've tried, from femmed version.

C99...and I read from 2-4 books per week. Lots of people say they can't get into reading while high, but man I get more deeper into the story!

Durban x skunk no.1 sounds about right..... mandala's Sadhu is short-n-squat with a nice high. DJ's f13 would also be a nice fit. The most clear and functional high i've had is from the oaxacans i've smoked.

I've only had 2 Ace panama females - but the high is like drinking lots of wine... you couldn't do math on it.... it's pretty potent and very vigorous.

I very much appreciate all the suggestions and will try some of the ones mentioned. Here's some information I can contribute: I started some seeds on Miracle Grow potting soil, and then 2 weeks later noticed that MG had come out with a Miracle Grow Moisture Control potting soil, so I tried some of that using the same seeds. I added 3 parts pearlite and 2 parts worm castings to 10 parts of the potting soil, and now, 10 days later, I can tell that the second soil mix is waaaaaaaaaay better than the first. Not even close. The new soil seems to have a great ability to absorb what seems to be the right amount of water, and the plants love it.
