I think they pinched my weed in the mail

I had it sent to me in a regular envelope in what I believe was the correct postage. Does anyone know anything about drug dogs being at any of the USPS postal facilities?

I'm really fiending for weed and am tempted at this point to have some bud mailed to me via express delivery. I was wondering if this was a bad idea since there might be drug dogs at the airport smelling cargo.

If I went the overnight route, what do you think is best UPS, FEDex, or USPS.

Can't believe it didn't arrive

if its done right, you can send jars of it through fedex... but the process is intricate and very time consuming... I tried to do a tut about it on PS but my computer fucked up.. long story short, its not there now... btw, are you a member of PS?? your name looks oddly familiar

You can mail all the weed you like if you use USPS Express mail. Since its an overnight commitment they dont have time to scan all the packages with dogs and xrays. Whoever is sending you the herb needs to wrap it in a shitload of plastic wrap, stick it in a small box (Cheez-it box is perfect size for a zip) then GIFT WRAP the box like a birthday present. Stick it in the Express envelope and send it. I did it repeatedly in the past and its the most reliable way IMHO. UPS, Fedex, DHL, etc dont have to have warrants to open packages.

Vaccum sealed multiple times. Turkey bags in a pinch. Wash with bleach. USPS only.

as of the first of the year USPS can now open packages without a warrant as well...one more way the patriot act makes all of us safer :jerkit:

Will I have to sign for any express mail? If so that means I have to put my name on it. I'd rather not of course.

my guy doesn't have a vacuum sealer. not many people do.

no.

I dont remember if you have to sign for Express but its not like you cant just sign any old name on there if you had to. No need to vacuum seal either.

OK, let me tell you how I got my herb up until late last year when I started growing. My dealer was 500 miles away due to me moving. I would mail him a USPS money order for the purchase price. He would then put the contents in a ziploc freezer bag and wrap the living crap out of the ziploc with plastic saran wrap. I mean like go around the bag 30 or 40 times so it was all sealed in. Put the wrapped bag in a Cheez-it box then gift wrap the Cheez-it box. Ribbon and all. People dont usually want to fuck with gift wrapped boxes! He'd go to the post office and put the wrapped box in an Express envelope, seal it up, and mail to me. All fake names. His address fake. My address real. Once mailman showed up next morning before noon I dont specifically remember signing for anything. He just handed me my zip or two and Id go get high. I dont know about that executive order to open mail though....anybody heard if its been challenged in court yet? Either way, the key is that Express is overnight so it doesnt have time to sit around and be looked at closely.

EDIT: btw, are you sure your weed was mailed after all? I had a situation like that with my same dealer and it turned out he was taking orders and payments before he had the product. I thought he either ripped me off or it got pinched. I was just being impatient.

Actually, my hookup had planned to put it in a box instead of an envelope and all that jazz, but it was going to take him an extra 4 days (just my opinion because I know this persons personality) to get it done and I was impatient so I told him to slap a bunch of samps on an envelope and just ziplock it and wrap a pice of paper around it and send the bitch out already because at that point I was tired of bothering him to get it done.

I believed it was possible that he send it out later than he actually said he did, but I dont believe there's any way that at this point he would be lying. It's not him and he's a good friend. I will certainly confirm he got the address correct though.

Thanks for the help. He can just drop the express mail package off in any mailbox right? He isn't goign to want to drop this package off anywhere theres cameras. IDK if this would go in metered mail or stamped mail (I will call the post office and find out).

Cant help ya on the mail drop box part. I guess if he does the online postage thing it would be ok since Express envelopes are flat rate. Another reason to not mess with a stand-alone box.....

No biggie going to the post office though. Just wear a cowboy hat/baseball cap and they can't see your face. All the cameras Ive seen are up near the ceiling.

i work at UPS and ship weed through ups occasionally, it works well but you must make sure you place the weed inside a canning jar or tightvac and make sure you wipe it down with rubbing alcohol, and dont get a box thats been hanging around your smoke filled house get one elsewhere and get fresh tape, tape it up REALLY damn good because you have no idea how many packages i see get destroyed crushed opened because someone stanked some weed or because it was not taped properly. UPS is safe but i recommend using a different name and a made up return address ( when they ask you to fill out the form just fill in a random name and make sure the address is good, because they have addy verification software) then your good to go. EDIT: forgot to add the only time not to ship through ups is between nov 20th and jan 15th. < through those periods theres dogs but primarily for bomb sniffing.. im sure they are trained well though... :sasmokin:

Here we go, I found it.

How can I safely mail smelly items?

You will need a few items to do this job correctly:

Latex gloves (3 pairs)

New canning jars w/ lids

Fingernail polish remover

Paper towels

Plastic baggies

Newspaper

Clean/new cardboard shipping box

The goal is to keep odor leakage to an absolute minimum, while reducing the possibility of incriminating forensic evidence (ie: fingerprints).

Step 1:
Put on the gloves, and weigh or measure the smelly item into a new plastic baggie. Do not lick the baggie to seal it. Roll the baggie up loosely and set aside.

Step 2:
Change gloves. Remove a canning jar from the box. A box of canning jars will run $4-8 a dozen, including screw bands and lids- just buy a box and don't handle them until you need them. Take a clean paper towel (if you wanna get fancy, you can use pretty wrapping paper) and line the jar with it, making sure the paper doesn't interfere with lid closure. The paper ensures that the contents are not visible inside the jar.

Step 3:
Carefully insert baggie into jar, making sure the paper towel stays in place. Place lid on jar and screw the band down tight.

Step 4:
Change gloves. Begin by wiping down the shipping box (inside and out) with a clean paper towel to remove any possible fingerprints. Use the right size box for the job, ideally you will want two inches of space between the item being sent and the cardboard, to allow for proper packing. Take a cotton ball or bit of paper towel and moisten it with fingernail polish remover. Wipe the outside of the glass jar, paying careful attention to the screw band and lid.

Step 5:
Loosely crumple a sheet or two of newspaper and place inside the box. Place the glass jar in the middle of the box, and carefully pad it with additional crumpled newspaper. You want to ensure that it has adequate padding on all sides, so that the glass will not break if the box should be dropped or mishandled. Use enough packing material to keep the jar from rattling or thumping around in the box when violently shaken (shake it; if it rattles, add more paper).

Step 6:
By following the first 5 steps, you will have ensured the interior of the box is "sterile" and that the contents are safely and securely packaged for transit. Use a printed shipping label, if possible. A good substitute for a printed shipping label is a professional-appearing label printed on plain printer paper, trimmed to fit and carefully taped in place. Use a real "fake" return address, a good source is the packaging on most common household goods. A good idea is to cover the shipping label completely with tape, to protect it from moisture (if it should get rained on, the ink will run).
Use ONLY clear shipping tape when taping the box, no duct tape!
Your box is now ready to be sent. Be mindful of how you handle the box- remember, leave NO FINGERPRINTS. You can handle the box safely without gloves, just use the back side of your hands to pick it up & tuck it under your arm to casually carry it.

^Thats an overprecautious tutorial assuming there's going to be dogs and a CSI investigation if caught. Like I was saying earlier, if I told my friend to go through all these steps, the bud wouldn't be in the mail for months.

Thanks for the help yall.

Ive never done it.. but I think it refers to sending A LOT of weed= 4-5 jars.. I dunno it my be overkill, but thats a lot of fuckin weed! I think it would be worth it... now, not the case with an ounce or three.. but if I was sending a whole lot of weed, I'd be willing to be overkill when sending it..

Just a thought on the above tutorial- I ship fragile stuff all the time, radios and such. I always use styrofoam or some other semi-rigid, relatively non-compressible stuff to surround my item. Newspaper will pack down and allow those glass jars to bang around. Double boxing is good, too, and common for delicate items. I always pack stuff with the assumption that it will be at the bottom of a pallet of boxes. Also, never reuse boxes, they break down quickly. For a couple bucks you can buy a new, sturdy box.

Yeah, the Patriot Axe crap has really done a bunch to protect us, huh?

you are a mad man. you should buy a light and a pack of good seeds . I would think it would be MUCH safe in the long run. especially if you are depending on someonelse for your weed. in the mean time buy a high times or cc or heads magazine and look thru it for ads for bud buddy or something like that. they send hash and weed thru the mail. good luck,cyrus...
