i smoke a half ounce a month

u guys seem to be a little full of yourself, ive already grown with two 400 and a 1000 before- should u worship me for that? lighten up, i understand a monthly bill for such size grows, your points taken though, hey we all have differant perameters to work with n through dont we, but i do understand some of the attitude, some people go to micro and dick around with moving way to many bulbs and have to make so many adjustments daily to their set up that makes us slightly more experienced growers ask ''for what''. i just move n travel alot and need something for my kind of deal, but since talking to u guys i have to admit that this pc case does seem like it also involves to much ''dicking around'' that hobby growers seem tickled pink to deal with , i may have to go with a 150hps after all and maybe youve seen my post already asking about 150's, im working with some cfl at the moment and im pretty much over it-im at 200 watts and the coverage is for shit. :joint:

i have actually and it inspired me to change my thinking, for a long time i was thing 1000 watt then 600 then 400...after finding I.C i was shocked at what could be accomplished with lower watts right down to cfls.. this grow that youve given me the link to is indeed a work of art..:joint:

Yeah, that grow cab is tight; very stealth. And what mtnjohn is able to accomplish with a single 150W, SCROG, and SWC is simply amazing. Something like that would more than meet my modest needs once dialed in like that.

Coverage with spiral CFL's can leave a bit to be desired. You may want to view this link

Hydro-Soil has been championing these...along with KNNA. I must agree, these are perhaps the best CFL you can use...(PLL) I put T-5 a close second. These PLL can definitely hold their own against a 150HPS.

im in the grow 1 big harvest & shutdown until you need more camp, bigger lights produce more quality buds than the smaller wattage units. i owuld go for atleast a 400w HID for quality buds. (most micro growers probibly wouldn't agree with me)

In terms of risk, the argument can go either way depending upon the jurisdiction you are in and the input of the local prosecution. Grow big for a portion of the year and you magnify your risk during that period of time since sentencing is usually tied to plant numbers/weight. And if you have a prick prosecutor, larger scale equipment could lead to other charges if they wanna make a case that the grow is too big for "personal use." Smaller grows open you up to risk over a longer period, since you are growing more often, but the size of the grow might mitigate the charges faced if you do get popped since it is hard to make a case for commercial production with the equipment usually used for a microgrow. So, while it might seem that grow big and seldom cuts risk, it doesn't necessarily work out that way.
