Is it possible for you to get a larger CFM fan? This would probably be the best solution, if you are dead-set on keeping that 400 watt light in there....

Also, run the lights during the coolest time of day, and only run 18/6 during vegetative phase instead of 24/0......

85 degrees Fahrenheit is a bit high, but honestly that is within the acceptable limits of plant-growth temperature range.....

If you do get a higher CFM fan, we can figure out how best to install it.....

:ying: kind regards from guineapig :ying:

Where are you pulling your fresh air from? The room the cabinet is in? or from outside? Do you exhaust the heated air into the room? or to the outside? In summer is your home A/C cooled? What kind of fan are you using and how far does it have to pull the air to exhaust? Are you currently (winter time) using central heating to the room?

Answers to the above questions will help.

The intake is on the lower right hand corner, its sucking up just any air from the room , the exhaust is at the back of the box , 4 inches away from the wall, hittin the wall on its way out?

The room is sitting at 72ish, I have air conditioning but its winter so I cant have it on, I will try keeping a window open and check tommorow. I really think the guage might be fucked though, it feels nice when I put my hand in the box, nice and chilly.

Update:

I was stoned as fuck and managed to put a fan in backwards, therefore keeping the fucking hot air forced in there, no wonder my fans sounded like a fat kid running a marathon.

Its at 80 now, ill continue to monitor, i still dont think it will go down:(

How come some people at grass city told me a 400 in my cabniet is impossible?

I have a great wireless Hygro/Thermo that I got from WalMart. It has a base station and can support up to three remote wireless sensors. It's very accurate. I can simultaneously check the temp and humidity outside the house, in my cabinet, my cigar humidor, and my mushroom farm--all from upstairs. I think I paid about $20 for the base and $20 for additional sensors. it's called an Acu Rite, and I love it.
