I need a pot that won't cause rootlock

I need to keep a certain amount of plants small for about 6 weeks, and then plant them in larger containers, so I can't have them getting rootlocked.

I've come across 'airpots', but there are two variations:

If anyone can tell me which are better at preventing rootlock and whether they do a good job over a month, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

I've used the bottom ones for years and love them.
They do tend to dry out quite fast, and water cam come shooting out the sides if you water too quickly, but that's sort of to be expected.

I don't know about airpots keeping them small, in my experience plants explode in them compared to standard soil containers.

The bottom ones work great. I've kept bonsai moms in the 1-liter pots for long periods, and the only problem was trying to fit a Blumat spike between the plant stem and the sidewall of the pot. I use 5-liter pots for my normal grows, averaging 4+ ozs per plant. Transplanting later might be a bit challenging because of the egg-crate pattern that the media will take, but it is a simple matter to remove the fastener and "unwrap" the pot from the plant.

The air-pots are fantastic. Use them once and you'll see. Less medium, faster growth, and higher yields.

I've had issues cloning last year in the summer, so I want to preserve some clones just in case.

I was asking which one of the two photos I presented I should get.

i use both of that type of airpots,

i like the airport in the bottom pic. im stuck for head room and i dont sit the pots on anything, with that airport and the way their built there up off the ground and out of the water. thats the only difference i can see with them.
