Love this thread! But yall can handle way more heat than me. Maybe my heat tolerance will increase with time.
that's how i am.

i LOVE the flavor of orange peppers, and ESPECIALLY habanero peppers but i am not one for the extreme heat.

i tried to grow some 'habanada' peppers (no heat, which i actually didn't want but i needed that flavor) from that super weird dude that sells heirloom seeds (baker creek), but half the shit i've bought from them we can't get to germinate or make maturity before it's time to fruit, etc. and i'm not sure i wanna buy from them anymore (unless it's super unobtanium niceness) ...and apparently it isn't my uncanny ability to murder green things, my wife is a wonderful gardener and she also notes bad luck with a wide variety of different things from them;

we have much better luck with seeds from other companies. some stuff was good from them for sure, but too hit or miss ime.

anyway, the habanadas did just that... nada, and we even started some early indoors, in addition to planting a few directly in the garden; and not a- one of them fruited before fall sent them packing, tail- tucked.

anyone know of some medium heat habanero peppers with that great, fruity orange- pepper goodness and are for sure good seeds?

i might just buy some regular habaneros and carefully cut out as much of the placenta i can b4 eating and learn to take the super- heat.
