Most of the fossil fuel material we use today comes from algae, bacteria, and plants—some of which date back even before the Devonian Period, 419.2 million to 358.9 million years ago. Consequently, at least most of the time, you are not pouring refined dinosaur parts into the gas tank of your vehicle.
this. oil and gas source rock is basically marine algae within shale from a long fn time ago...its what the frackers fracture to get the btus to flow out. That dinosaur to gas tank image was from commercials from the early 70s...

Leave it to some people to take a funny, cool thread called, 'I find strange things and post them here', and try to turn it into a pulpit for conspiracy theories. Funny how that works. Not naming names, I think we all know who.

one thing i've noticed about the conspiracy nuts...they can't do math...and have zero sense of humor about their pet beliefs...and when you point out that it takes like 30 seconds to debunk their nonsense that add another layer of silly, unproven conspiracy to explain that....cranial rectal looping

I think it even went further to Sinclair oil in the early 1900's,Dino was sort of a mascot

That's a little vague.

Which posts are discussing what you call " conspiracy theories " ?

I would say the Arsonists are more Sane - than the people who say they don't exist, or that "there's nothing we can do about it".

I check the wildfire news about 5 times a day, which I admit constitutes Obsessive.

Read EVERY article I can get.

Wildfires start at homeless encampments, 1/4 to 1/2 the time, depending on the location.

But county "leaders" are so AFRAID of tent cities they pretend there's "nothing they can do".

Also since we're talking about wildfires - re. the Camp fire that killed 80+ people in 2018.

From talking shop with Wildfire worker folks, they describe serious & terrible rat's nests of combustible materials near the people's houses.

Dry leaves, dead trees, etc.

And now companies like State Farm are refusing to insure people's homes in California !

You can't get a mortgage if you can't get insurance.
