thank you to those of you who answered; it is just so silly to be making stories up like that. btw, we were specifically speaking about cannabis, not other plants.
sproutco, so you are saying the guy is telling the truth? would you please care to describe the mechanics of how the cluster of calyxes called 'flowers' in the female cannabis plant naturally fall off the plant as whole nugs that are ready to be smoked?
thanks!
sogman, you are a bit confused about brugmansias, these are not the active ingridients in ayahuasca, however, they can be used as additives to certain ayahuasca recipes, ayahuasca has many different recipes depending on who is brewing it and what for. ayahuasca's active main ingridient has been identified as dmt,
while the brugmansias are entheogens on their own right, they are not dmt active, the alkaloids that the plant produces are tropanos (perhaps in english tropanes? sorry for using some terms in spanish but i don't know the english equivalents).
the preparations of tropanos give a much different 'trip' than ayahuasca/yage preparations, the effects on the body can be violent and the 'trip' can lastfor days even...one of my close friends made a tea, infamous local tea called 'te de campanita'. my friend was "hallucinating" very strongly for days, he could eat and stuff, but he was just 'out there', he says he is still not sure if he has came back down after all these years!
peace.
