In theory it's a great idea, but a cursory glance at the history of wideboys and thieves who have worked for Gypsy doesn't allow me the luxury of much confidence. even in legal places, everything linked to the Cannabis trade is a grey are.. Grey areas tend to attract murky individuals.

Colorado isn't the problem. The problem is fed vs state. How would seeds get to Colorado without passing through Federal airspace or crossing state lines. Seeds are treated the same as buds under US law, so any seed shop in Co, sending seeds out of the state would be in line for a reaming, courtesy of uncle sams long, spiky, unlubed penis.

Not to mention that Colorado law demands licensure of marijuana producers & their retail products. It's still up in the air, but I think they'll consider seeds to be marijuana. There are no provisions for import of marijuana products for resale. It's not like Colorado can license out of State seed producers, either.

Dunno what will happen, but the seed biz in Colorado will be utterly different rather shortly. Hell, I suspect that lots of grow stores give away seeds as a sort of promo. I'm nearing harvest for a Sensi Star grown from such a seed.

As soon as you start thinking about tourists visiting to buy their seeds, or any interstate/ out of state commerce from suppliers or retail customers, the whole project falls apart. Go read the most recent Holder memo, this enterprise would be clearly be illegal under federal law. Any and all marijuana businesses must do their utmost to ensure that state laws are followed, meaning if you know the products are destined for out of state you are in violation of state law and are thus subject to federal law- they'll take your state license and do you up on federal drug charges.

Having someone in the US to receive payments in the US is also another complete stoner fantasy, those involved would find themselves up on federal charges to import/export marijuana in a matter of weeks.... are you guys even paying attention to the changing laws in the US?

Am far from versed in corporate law, but, it seems to me that Seed Boutique and/or SeedBay would have little trouble opening a brick and mortar store there.

A group or groups of breeders could hire their own grower/s in Colorado and sell their product (both seed and bud) through the store proper.

I'm confident that Colorado producers will step up to fill the need for seed, whatever that turns out to be. Sold at retail, the seller need only determine age & residency. That's it. Don't tell the guy behind the counter that you're taking your 1/4 oz of seeds back to Iowa or he might think you're a cop, throw you out. He doesn't want to know, makes it his business not to know.

The reason the us government is after the propietor of ic is for importing to the us.. Same as mark emery... I firmly believe that the feds vs state arguement is fairly over.. Of course the feds will act for the criminal part of anything.. Cigs alcohol no different.. Bank of America is accepting money from dispensaries... Boa being a federally insured bank.. 10 yrs max it will be in most liquor stores and gas stations.. The money is there to be made..
