Hyp3rids. Whos dealt with them?

I got no viable plants from a pack of Cambodian Red. hyp3rids seeds. I seem to recall getting a few weak sprouts or plants that died out later,

I got around 5 plants out of Northcoast Cambodian Red, and that was a pack of over 10 seeds with me getting about the same amount of freebie Cambodian seeds when I requested them. So 5 out of 25 or 30 seeds produced a plant.

Monkey Puzzle Cambodian Red was about 30 seeds direct from Cambodia, along with 12 seeds of another Cambodian line. Nothing from either. No germination as I recall.

hyp3rids got his Cambodian Red from Monkey Puzzle. I think Northcoast CR is the same as hyp3rids or Monkey Puzzle.

The fan leaves I have smoked of the CR are a superior high. The cost and trouble I have gone thru were a lot though.

I have Red II but decided to start with two Zacatecas x Cambodian. All Hyp3rids seeds germinated just fine, also as someone already mentioned, all their website descriptions are spot on, what you read is what you get.

^^Not sure what you mean? There was nothing on their website about poor germination or growth with the Red ll. The other lines I have grown from them were ok as I recall in germination and growth.

I have tried to get in touch with Steve monkey puzzle to get his cambodian red. I also wanted to contact hyp3rids to see if I could buy some pure cambodian red from them, as I suspected their cambodian genetics are from Steve. I have bad luck germinating pure cambo seeds so far.
I bought the last pack of khmer gold on seed bay. Zero germ. I bought 20 seeds of Mekong haze, 0 germ. This time I just went for the hyp3rid cross so at least I get cambodian genes in seeds that I know will germinate. Finally I get to experience a Cambodian sativa again, albeit mixed with another strain. I hope the purple zacateca will be a nice mate, not altering the signature too much.
Sometime down the line I will get my hands on pure takeo and kirivong from either zomia or the landrace team, but for now I am pleased to get some seeds that finally will germinate and surely produce stellar plants.

It is a shame as the Cambodian is clearly a very nice strain, if not great strain. Just smoking fan leaves is very good already.

Yes, I’ve already tried a nug of the premature Cambodian dominant phenotype of Redwood Haze, and it instantly lifted my mood with its strong antidepressant effects. This is exactly what I need to get through the two darkest coming months of the year.

That is no lie. ^^ The anti depressant effect from the Cambodian fan leaves was evident right away. I may have had some line that had equal anti depressant effects but do not recall it. Certainly not more than the Cambodian.

It may be coincidence but the Khmer Rouge killed about a fifth of the people in Cambodia. Anti depressants were and are needed there.

Smell is very dark, I can think of valerian, balsamic, musk aromas, but I'm sure it will develop further after a proper cure.
