i overwatered my plant and i was wondering if i could use hydrogen peroxide to help it. it is wilting quite a bit and the soil has remained moist for the last 3 days. i mixed the soil which is just generic planting soil with perlite at a 1 part perlite to 2 parts soil ratio. any help will be greatly appreciated thanks. also if im not telling you everything you need to know about my grow please let me know what i can do to help everyone understand my situation better.

what is the main reason you are uing H2o2? I dont see the point. Sure you overwatered your plant, problem solved stop watering them. H202 is good for helping with root rot or pest problems, not really for overwatering. Next time water your plant every 3 days or so, wait for em to dry out a lil bit in between waterings. I know in soil most say to water every 3 days but look at your plants and soil. If after 3 days they are soaked still no need to water. May want to look at why your plants arent taking up the water.

Problem is we don't know how big his pot is and how big his plant is; that will tell you how often to water... every3 days he still could be over watering his plants......also picking up the pot when and after you water is a huge importance; this tells you how much water is left in the pot by lifting it before a watering and after......

Using a fan to help dry out the top of the soil will help out a lot.

How big is this plant and what size pot is it in?

Here is a thread made by 10k, teaches you when and when not to water.

How often are you watering your plants, and how much?

h202 will not do you any good right now, you can't use it straight into the soil anyways; it allows more o2 to go through the soil, but does not help dry it out. It also protects against root rot; but your more chances of getting root rot in hydro than soil.

thanks everyone, espcially you stich. the reason i asked about h202 is i read somwhere that it helps to get oxygen to the roots. anyways, i have a 1 gallon pot and my plant is about 28 inches tall. im going to the hydro store soon to pick up some actual good soil. i think im gonna go with ffof and ill add perlite to that.... ill transplant into better soil and i wont be so anxious to water. thanks again

Yes, it does give more o2 to the roots; but it must be mixed with water and if you already are over watering it's not going to help the issue, next time add more perlite and not water as often :)

Just make sure you give that link a read though ok :)

A 28 inch tall plant in a 1 gallon pot? Granted I'm a newbie, but everything I've read suggests 1 gallon for every 12 inches of plant height or 1 gallon for every month of plant life (excluding mothers, of course).

Based on that, a 3 gallon container seems more reasonable.

i cant afford to let my plant get much taller. thats why i have it in a small pot. ive already tied it down because im limited height wise and its gotten more bushy. which i think is good. i plan on throwing it directly into 12/12. since the strain is odyssey a fast flowering 45-50 days supposdly, i hope it will all work out. thanks for all your help.

If you plain on throwing her into flowering I totaly reccomend you transplanting into at least 1 gallon size more dude; she won't finish flowering if she is root bound you will get a stunted plant with hardly any decent buds they will be small and under potency...... they need at least 2 weeks of free space in that pot; there roots grow for the first 2 weeks and then they slow down a lot... so you need the space for the first 2 weeks; so transplant into a gallon size pot bigger... trust me it will do you a lot of good.

The problem with h2o2 is that it destroys beneficial fungi / microherd. Only use it during the last flush before harvest or if you get root rot.

Get yourself some water soluable mycorizae fungi and it'll help the plant recover or at least stop using hydrogen peroxide.

Most hydro shops have it available. Lots of brands of it now. A few -

SoilMoist Mycorrihizal

Gen Hydro Subculture

Plant Success Mycorrhizae

Once established the roots build a symbiotic relationship with the subculture benefiting the plant in many ways.

BTW, rapid rooters contain mycorrhizae. If you start seedlings or clones in them you get a good start and don't need to add mycorrhizae.
