sirharrynuggz I have a portable ac unit as well. the problem i have with mine is that the hot air exhausted only has a 5 foot ducting and they say extending it out will ruin the unit? do u have these type of limitations and restrictions with your ac?

Yes, I had to put mine up on a small table and cut a hole in the ceiling to exhaust. It's okay though, now it's easier to collect the water that the A/C puts off.

add an inline duct booster, or a few, or a 4" centrifigul. i've daisy chained exhaust hoses and then blew them out a 6" duct with a 4" vortex. but for just extending a single hose i just use booster/s and err on the side of more.

Ok here it goes....tommarow I'm heading out to the Hydro shop and I'm about to break the bank :) (for me at least its breaking the bank lol) I already own (2) Lumatek 600 Watt Digital Ballasts...a 3x6 ebb & flow set up and a single Turbo Garden Ebb & Flow set up which is 36" x 22" x 19"...I have a C.A.P PPM 2-A Co2 controller and a Portable Ac that i am going to ditch now that i hear about Co2 loss.

Tommarow I will be adding:

(1) 600 watt Lumatek Digital
(3) Super Sun 2 reflectors
(1) Elicent 8" 635 cfm
(1) Hydro Hut Deluxe

So my tent will have 1800 watts total...will that fan be able to keep the Temps in check? I do have the portable AC I am over the Co2 loss..what Temps can this fan keep the room at? Any suggestions on what I should or shouldnt buy fellaz :joint:

as long as your not venting into the room you will be fine. Thats gonna be a killer setup by the way. whats your plan for odor control?

i have a mini hydrohut, and i am really confused about the exact diagram i need to keep the sucker cool. if you don't vent right, this baby really hangs onto the heat!

i have a cooltube, a dayton 265 cfm, a scrubber like looks like this:

and an inline 4" duct fan. can someone give me the step by step diagram to keep this thing under 10,000 degrees? i get confused because the scrubber isn't a flowthru, so if anyone can help pls?????

ya dump the dayton and the little inline and get a 6" vortex or fantech inline fan and temps will only be between 2-5 degrees above room temps depending on what size light your using
I use a 6" vortex and my temps are 2* over with the 400 and 4* over with the 600.

for odor control i'm gonna go with some sort of scrubber....do u guys think that 8" Elicent fan will keep the heat in check? after hearing that portable ac units mess with the Co2 i'm ditching my unit.

well i just got back from the Hydro Shop and heres what I got...

1 Lumatek 400 Digital Ballast
1 400 watt Hortilux Blue (the expensive bulb)
1 HH Deluxe
3 Super Sun II reflectors

They didnt have an 8" fan in stock so I didnt get one. The dude at Better Grow Hydro told me that I'd have issues keeping the HH Deluxe cool without a Portable AC and he said since I have the single hose Units..running Co2 would be useless :( I bought a CAP Fuzzy Logic meter not too long ago...
