is the odd odor kinda like 'garlic meets stinkfoot'? recently been skimming thru a pack of satori, and noticed that present itself rather obnoxiously in one of them - it got taken down a week ago, so it's not even met a jar yet, but it seems to have mellowed into a more tolerable odor as it dries
Wow, yes, you hit the nail on the head. That is a better description than I have been giving it. I've been describing it to my fiancee as something like "sandalwood meets chives, meets stinky foot cheese, meets roasted garlic, meets something else spicy I can't put my finger on, with an underlying hashy/fruitiness." It smells exactly the way I just described. I've read about Satori's "garlic pheno" before, but I never thought this plant smelled just like garlic. But maybe this is what people refer to as the garlic pheno?
The buds have been drying for over 3 days now, and the smell is definitely mellowing out into a lighter, fruitier/hashy smell. It was VERY overwhelming during harvest, though!
