dinosaurcocks to clear things up, those are two different substances entirely. Humus is a colloidal (very small particle with high surface area) particle of organic matter. Where as, Humax is a humic acid is a BYPRODUCT of decomposition of organic material, not the particle itself.
I use humic acid products through all phases of development every 3 waterings, and have not noticed any adverse effects yet. If you are wary of over applying, Just be light handed with your rates.
