Very very inspirational by far, you guys have a dream in your hands and are taking full responsibility by doing over the top to make your farm safe and eco friendly at the same time. If people would replicate more of what you guys have set the standard for there would be a lot more maturity among the community us grows and stoners have today. I honestly wish I could be a farmhand on your vineyard :) it looks like beautiful northern golden california at its best. Keep up the good work guys. One question, were the cement walls specifically made for the garden crop? Very professional look you got going on..

I'm very picky when it comes to music that I'll listen to and even more picky about what I'll smoke.
If I really love a song sometimes I'll listen to it on repeat over and over again while I drive, sometimes hundreds of times . I listened to this for most of 2006. Songs are ways of dreaming, and usually predict the future or tell the past. Most of my songs that I write usually come true a year or two after I write them,or they tell of the past. I plan on getting creative again this winter and writing again.
This is one of my lucky hats. I've had it 13 years.

Now some picks from today at HL's. For some of our strains we are officially starting the onset of flowering.:)

I tried to fit them both in the same picture and failed. Won't be posting those.
Here is an old Humboldt Strain crossed into HL Purple Train Wreck. PTW X Zenu. I get the feeling it's going to yield well from how thick and sturdy the branches are. This is from one of the greenhouses.

The greenhouse with 3 HL strains and the rest from Reservoir seeds. Check my other thread for more pictures of the greenhouse.

This is how I get around sometimes.

Let's all do this. :plant grow:

Here is a Morals track for anyone who's interested. This is unfinished work and needs a lot of clean up/edits/mixing,etc.
I hope this doesn't make anyone think I'm unfriendly. Life is crazy, sometime we struggle then learn to achieve.

Thank you for posting the pictures and sharing the information you have. The thoughtfulness in each of these gardens is hard to miss while looking through the thread. It is an amazing opportunity for those of us who want to learn this trade but don't have access to the knowledgeable growers in our areas. Truly, thank you for sharing your experience so we all might benefit.

Here is a sneek peek at what I've been working on.
HKBB Hindu Kush/Blueberry x Blackberry/Purple

Been working with our males and beginning to collect pollen. Our isolation area is out of control with males and pollen right now. I think this one will be used for some hybrids as well as F2 selections made with a few different HKBB females to test for a real prize.

Great looking stuff..very inspiring. Ganja is your flowering about in line with an average year for its onset? I had some start a couple weeks ago, then the full moon came out and they completely quit, now are flowering again. Thanks DD

strange. you'd think that the extra light from the full moon would prolong veg rather than induce flowering. I have had the same thing happen... wierd early flowering on strains you would not expect it from.

Do you know where your cannabis came from? Do you know how it was grown? Do you know what sort of toxic pollutants you may be ingesting when you consume it? Do you know the impact on the environment from the production of your cannabis whether medical or recreational?
I want to talk about what is happening in Oakland and around the state. There has been a campaign put on by the indoor growers trying to brainwash the public that indoor grown cannabis is healthier and safer to consume than outdoor grown. Many dispensaries have perpetuated this propaganda because they produce indoor cannabis. They don't have the skills or knowledge to produce high quality outdoor cannabis without the use of chemicals and pesticides. They claim that because indoor is grown in a cleaner environment that it is better for the end user. I will admit that a very small percentage of hyper-allergenic medical cannabis users could be harmed by the small amount of dust on outdoor cannabis. But the rest of their argument doesn't hold water. They also claim that indoor can't be grown organically and without the use of pesticides. When they do lab testing they don't test for pesticides because they don't want you to know that the medicine you are trying to heal yourself with is actually harming you and the planet.
Oakland is about to start work on 4 100,000+sqft indoors. The runoff will be going straight into the bay. Do you have any idea what the environmental impact of operations like that will be? Where does that electricity come from? Magic? No. Nuclear power and mountain top removal.
Richard Lee in a recent interview when asked what the outdoor growers will do to compete with him said "I guess they can make hash". Shame on you Richard and shame on Oakland.
Oakland has made a direct challenge to Humboldt County and to the rest of us outdoor farmers around the North State. A line in the sand has been drawn and it is war. I say game on.
We gave them our strains, we taught them how to grow, and now the monster has turned on us.
Oakland wants to be the Cannabis capital of California? Have you been to Oakland? If you don't get shot you will get stabbed. It is a hell hole. The only thing they are good at is rioting and murder.
Consumers need to know that when you buy your cannabis from a factory in Oakland you are buying a Blood Diamond.
As a producer I feel a great deal of responsibility to the end user in creating a healthy product not just for their bodies and minds, but for the environment that it came from. A cannabis plant grown outdoors is good for the planet. When you choose outdoor grown cannabis you are making a statement that you are an educated consumer and you care about your health and the planet you live on. You care about a future for your children.
As we get closer to legalization the mass production of Cannabis is inevitable. By promoting small scale farming we can insure that the production doesn't have a negative impact on the planet the way so much of our industrialized large scale farming has.
I got to visit another friends gardens yesterday and was reminded of why what we outdoor growers do is so important. I saw beautiful gardens. Organic fruits, grapes and vegetables grown side by side with cannabis. A piece of land that had been restored to its natural beauty through the production of Organic medical cannabis.

This is my friends creation, Chamba. This is a strain you will not find outside of our circle in Humboldt. Oakland would love to get her hands on her but we have learned our lesson and have the best of the best under lock and key.

Here are two reasons why our Cannabis is better than warehouse grown, we have bamboo and bees. Does a warehouse in Oakland have bamboo and bees? Hell no.

Oh yeah, we grow a little indoor in Humboldt as well. And we do it better. We do it organically without the use of pesticides and we get 2+ pounds per light. Remember Oakland? We were doing this a long time before you and we will be doing this for a long time to come.
Headband. It is not called 707 up here because this is where it is from.

I care deeply about my community and its future in the cannabis industry. Not just Humboldt but all the growing communities in the North State. We are the ones who perfected these techniques, developed these strains, and shared this knowledge. Now big money thinks they can take our legacy away from us? Shame on Oakland and any place else that tries.
As consumers you have a decision to make when you choose your medicine. Please choose wisely.
:thank you:
