ive dragged some of these tanks out of the woods myself. they indeed use them for heating/cooking in conjunction with a gas stove.

also, they utilize autos to get crops out in the middle of summer... and generally give the plants a minimum of care.

These are the smallest California outdoor pot plants I have ever seen for the size they were for the end of July lol what a crock of shit. Amatures at best.

Those are clearly a fast flowering or maybe even an auto strain if theres that many flowers and it is only the end of july... the mexicans are probably getting smarter and realize the faster they harvest the less chance of hunters, rippers and CAMP finding there shit...most plants dont begin to bud till atleast augest. So if those plants are auto's the size is actually pretty impressive

agreed. half a million plants will really put the hurt on an area unless there's proper disposal of waste. They just run it all off into the local water supply, fuel and trash and everything. They also pull a major amount of water out of the water table and it can sometimes effect water supply to houses and stuff. My friend's dad found some huts and guns (and tortillas ) on or near his property in no. cal. Feds came and burned everything. Kind of makes you wonder if hikers go "missing" from time to time after stumbling across these farms.

Fuck those cartel grows. Through my job, I have been conducting stream surveys in very remote areas of national forest for years. It is amazing to see conductivity levels (nutrients) go through the roof in some creeks. After decades of logging, mining, etc., the last thing these watersheds need are an influx of nutes, pesticides, and human waste. I say increase the funding and effort to eradicate these grows.
Sticky fingers makes a very good point. I have visited several large 215's just yards from creeks and rivers, and I know there are dozens more up and down the same creek. Just like the gold rush, the land/water is poisoned and the environment is changed forever.

no sir, for personal use yes, but, resale would be controlled by the corporations, just like tobacco or anything scheduled substance.

I hear ya on the grows in the hills contaminating the streams.

However if you look to the farm land in the central valley you will plainly see the toxic run off from the mono crops here in the valley...so really there is no difference from the mountain grows then the farmers here in the valley pumping toxic waste into our drinking wells just to turn a profit...lived here for years and seen it happen for years...

All these NorCal rivers have lots of algae growing in them that you never saw before cultivation took off in the mid-70s. As someone who spends time in remote areas of the National Forests on a regular basis I am glad to see some enforcement coming down on big public land grows, but for everyone the law takes down, there are a bunch more that are successful.

yeah legalization will get pot out of the forests and closets and into the sun, it baffles me to think that people actually resist it. don't you guys have like a big electricity shortage out there too? and like buttloads of people are running tons of lamps, thats gotta play a big role, when they could make better pot for free in their backyards each summer...

the problem with the Marlboro argument is just dumb, for every product out there there are companies, from the big megacorp cheep garbage, down to the tiny mom and pop high end versions that cost more...EVERYTHING! be it beer, coffee, chocolate, cigars...if Marlboro comes up with some way to grow big fields of super cheep mega yielding and generally bland tasting, process it in super bulk(imagine if they treated it like tobacco!lol) and make buttloads of joints, well yeah i'm sure a lot of people would be fine with that, just like the droves of people drinking that watery, sugar brewed swill most people call beer, though technically isn't even beer, or the people smoking swisher anythings, lol there are thousands of microbrews these days that are made much more traditionally than the big name beers, and you can get a 30 year old cigar over a swisher sweet...

if everybody wants super dank, stinky pot that melts your brain then thats all there will be, and corporations will have a hard time competing, as i don't believe that kind of quality can be maintained on a large scale...just like most things. that is highly unlikely though as most people have terrible taste, lol but there will always be a market for ultra high end pot, how big it will be remains to be seen...i would think with legalization potencies and strain quality will take a leap, as all the sudden large breeding facilities will be able to test out tons and tons of seeds to find those super rare pheno's for breeding...
