how to improve growth of seedlings in rock wool / flood table setup in first 2-3 weeks

hi community,

I am running hydro growths (autoflowers from seed) with seedlings in rockwool placed into pots with expanded clay, which are flooded twice a day. My results are usually not more than acceptable, with rather unexpected successes every now and then.

What I noticed by looking at other grow reports is that my growth especially in the first 2-3 weeks seems to be really slow, and I wonder what I could improve. Usually I use only 50% of the normal fertilizer amount in first 2 weeks (trying to not overfertilize, still get some burned tips sometimes), but no matter what I tried I always feel there could be something improved. Esp. the first days I also use clear water on the seedlings to make sure the rockwool or young roots are drying out. I wonder if that is maybe the issue in terms of the clear water washing away the small amounts of fert. that come from flooding.

What is the best feed for very small plants that were just placed in the clay pot - would it help to foliar feed, or could a special fertilizer, like root stimulator, help me within the first 3 weeks.

Any tips are welcome!

Hello:wave: Could you put some photos up maybes be a bit easier than guessing about what sort of set up it is. And to be honest you should never allow rockwool to dry out ever thats a game changer by itself get some photos put up that way more people can help ..🙏

I'm more than willing to help, however, I am going to need to see the pictures. You guys have got to learn to post pics man or we can't help you. Let's not waste anymore time and get them posted son. Then we can have a go at it.
