DAY 20 FLOWER - SWT3 FROM SOL

DAY 20 FLOWER - SWT3 FROM SOL

not much to look at, but here's an update, in a few days they will own the 250 they are sitting near....i'm so scared to feed them after past experiences with overnuting, so i barely hit them, figure i'm safe this way.

here's 6 of 8

below-soil biomass is usually equal to above-soil biomass. constricting one stunts the other.

im watchin cause i have the FS syndrom too. (fred sanford syndrom) i wanna keep everything, all plants and cuttings, i mean everyhting! if i had some st3 cutting you bet i'd find somewhere to get a lil light on em.

look, RR420 is doin this cause he can, not cause he thinks its the right way or that all of you are wrong. he has a good setup, hydro, and just wants his cake and to eat it too. let him go, the lil girls look good for lagniappe. they woulda been in a landfill by now if he'd listened to some of ya'll.

keep it green peeps

thanks.
JayRoach420 - 4 grams!! i'll be mad if they only produce that, but then again, who wouldn't be. did you do any type of pruning on them, before you forgot about them?

The Dopest - you are right, i hate throwing shit out. these were my first cuttings of swt with no where to go. i'm finding out they are super QUICK to flower. even under lower light 24/7.

yes, they take waterings every 2-3 days now, never drooped yet. i've got some still in veg that sometimes get so dry that they droop. hate that. now i leave a little water in bottom of tray for them. i'm not bucking critisizm here, i'm green, i'll take some advice. not too good in soil. before long they will show signs of some deficiency, i'm sure of it.

-should i use RO water with 5mil cal mag, OR, should i use tap water (850ppm, i swear to god)?

no I didnt do any pruning. I just watered them. it was about 3 grams a plant outta 2 plants. They looked like shit anyway so I just let them finish up in the cups.

new mama's

new mama's

after keeping around old mama's for a few months and having some sort of problems with them, decided to be done and start fresh. easier than trying to correct problem(s).

these were a couple that i started slightly after the one's in flower right now. i've fed them nothing but RO water w/ calmag, and they are planted in MG soil. i also topped them before transplanting into DWC.

after pulling them out of cups, i soaked them, and soaked them some more, but they didn't want to come apart, at all. after breaking them apart and soaking them some more in hot water, i finally got the roots 1/2 way clean enough to go into rocks.

start of new swt#3 mama's, hopefully better than last ones. although i am having problems with them starting to flower on me, no matter that's its 24/7 light....here they are in 3 gallon DWC's, under two 23watt CFL.

Hiya RuralRoute
Question for ya - mind ya I have no experience with DWC - you used *HOT* water to loosen the root ball? The plants don't complain?

I ask because I run into this problem with my outdoor bonsai - and usually end up slicing .25-.5" off the bottom of the rootball and then use high pressure spray from a hose and/or working my fingers into the rootball underwater. This is called bare rooting the bonsai. A rinse in hot water would sure be easier...

Thanks!

I'm interested in how you do with these Rural. My next run that will be starting shortly will be utilizing half gallon Double Gulps.
like this

I can fit 40 of these under my 250 :)

Now I'll have to trim them for a single colas in a SOG style, and I may transplant up inot 6" squares after I sex them, I think I can fit about 21 of the 6ers.

Any of you guys ever see Dee Wee Dalat's High Density SOG threads over at CW??? now that was in impressive setup.

peace love positivity

Smaller the container, smaller the bud. In soil that is. Can't speak for hydro, never have tried.

correction....smaller the root mass, smaller the bud.

You can have pretty small buds in a large container if the roots aren't large enough....and you can get some nice donkey dick colas out of 1/2G or smaller if you allow the roots to grow a bit first before flowering.

Cheers,

hey guys, i'm pretty green myself, specially in soil, so i'll try to help to the best of my abilities, surely not gospel though.

Mr GreenJeans - first i tried cooler water, but the root mass was like a wet sponge that wouldn't give. so i used pretty warm water on it, and they seemed to break apart a little easier. no, they didn't seem to mind to much. i rinsed them under sink water, agitated them in water by using swishing them around like stirring sticks, lol. sometimes i get sick of treating them like babies. after rinsing i shove them into 3.5" net cups clear to bottom and fill with hydroton. after a day in dwc they still seem to look the same as in soil....

gOurd^jr. - 40 under a 250 in soil in 6"er's might be pushing it, unless you plan on moving them or the light around a lot. i would trim the bottom 6" of anything off of main stem. the 250 won't get down that far, trust me. thanks for the SOG link to CW.

Hitman - yes, it's been stated here many times. but how big is the smallest bud in the smallest container? :chin:

suburbanhomeboy - "and you can get some nice donkey dick colas out of 1/2G or smaller if you allow the roots to grow a bit first before flowering." this is what intrigues me, so this is what i do in my downtime.

Small pots can be used but you will have to pay closer attention to having your nutrition perfect. Using smaller pots allows more plants in a given area. This might be bad if you are busted as federal law and some states judge your grow by plant numbers and not size.
