Mom was from Italy so my only guess would be that she called home.
$1.40 was a month's phone bill in those days. LOL

Is this a common thing with smokers? Because that's how I feel and I first smoked when I was 15. Not telling how many years ago that was.
Smoking marijuana in the developmental stages can in fact stunt or even halt the normal maturation process and is why this phenomenon exists. No shit.
Damn, we must be the same age....graduated HS in '69.

I graduated in 1968. We had our 50th reunion this summer. I didn't attend. All in my group have passed or are in a nursing home plus it is 600 miles one way to get there. Bunch of bible thumpers. Didn't even serve booze at the place we were meeting at. They would take one look at me and run. Bottle on one hand and joint in the other.

I don't think you can lump all 65+ together. IMO there is a huge difference between 65 and under (like me). They were too young to experience much of the hippie days except the music and dope. 65-70 were old enough to get drafted, and were getting laid in the hippie days. 70-75+, were the hippies.
