i just planted sprouted seeds today in 1qt pots in promix and alittle extra perlite. watering w/ room temp RODI water. how much and how often should i water? i don't want to over or underwater. i watered once probably about 6 oz each, not too much. top of soil just moist but about 5 hours have passed and top of soil barely moist. containers feel just slightly heavier now than when dry. thanks. there's 5 pots in a tent under 250W CMH. :joint:

Your containers may have more water in them than you think. I like to give newly sprouted seeds that have just been put into soil 1 good squirt out of a turkey baster which holds about 1 oz. I do this about every other day until things begin to grow a bit....then I give 2 squirts. This is just what works for me.

yeah they were dry this morning almost. watered each about 4 oz. water barely drained. have osciallting fan on all night. may be drying quicker from that. 2 of the 5 broke through already.

it's been almost a week. i think the oscillating 24/7 fan on low is maybe drying soil some. i water a tad in am, about 10 minutes later, i add same amount, just enough so alittle water ends up draining into saucer. i have been doing this every day. they are growing fast.

Looking at the date of your post, you should be able to water enough so that water spills out of the drainage hole. Otherwise, for the 1st week, you don;t and shouldn;t water too much. If the seedlings are not established with a strong root system, too much water can uproot the little one.
