How much space will I need for DWC?

Before I write this I want to apologize in advance if this is in the wrong forum. I just didnt really know where to post it.

I'm planning an 8 plant recirculating DWC a la big toke/ blazeoneup, I will be using one 600w Super-HPS Hortilux Bulb run off a dual bulb eurosystems ballast. The other bulb is going to be used by my partner. My question is if we both have 8 plants a total of 16 and he does the same system as me how much space should we budget for the entire room?

16 buckets plus the controller, chiller, a large garbage can with wheels for water storage. You also need space so you have enough room to access each bucket for maintenance. Your gonna need a full fledged room.

If your planning to veg/clone/moms in the same room then you will need the extra space even more so.

By controller you mean resevoir right? I was planning on using fluorescents for clones and making a mom/veg room after first harvest. But what I was more interested in was square footage because I plan on retrofitting a bedroom and need to know how much square foot I need.

How many square foot is good for 1 dwc plant I've heard a square meter but that seems a bit much

not to point fingers but for his setup he might need full room.

But I have a DWC going now in a 30" x 23" x 33" area with no problems

Soon to be making new room though, bought lights today

I did a 24 bucket 4000 watt grow in a 8x10 room and 4x4 closet for the control and res. I'd say an 8x8 room minimum, so more than 1200 watts will be needed.

How many square foot is good for 1 dwc plant I've heard a square meter but that seems a bit much

1sqm sounds about right to me. Tree style growing is whats best suited for this type of DWC and they need about that much room. If you want some hard data why not PM Bigtoke/Blazeoneup??
