I did.....people with education are supposed to make a million more than uneducated....now adays you can take courses online... I had to go in person lol
Yup, did the song and dance of college. Three degrees...taking those tidbits and molding to my existence. Two of the 3 degrees helped climb the career ladder.
I have a business and IT bachelors degree. Great fun, but wasn't exactly a cerebrally enlightening experience. So. Little. Relevant. Content.
If you can sit and read a few books then you can easily teach yourself in a fraction of the time. Universities in their current state are a complete rip-off and a scam.
I tried doing the University thing right after high school, and eventually I realized I was dropping as many classes as I was signing up for. I changed my major a bunch of times. Took me a long while to realize I was only doing it because that's what society has taught us we are supposed to do... to go to college right after graduating high school and become a good worker bee.
Anyway, I eventually dropped out of college, began working in hospitality, and continued focusing on my passion of music and performing. Eventually I realized the only thing I could see myself doing for the rest of my life was being involved in sound, music, production, and related creative endeavors. I then went back to school, but this time one of those trade schools that gives you an associate's degree in things like film or music production, digital media, that kind of thing.
Expensive, but best investment I ever made. I freaking LOVE my career now and enjoy getting out of bed every morning to go to my job. I'm not saying it was an overnight development... I had to have some crappy jobs before I found this good one, but I would not have been able to secure this one for myself if I didn't have formal training in sound engineering. I'm not making music, but I get to flex my creative muscles, and I get to still engineer audio, so I'm happy.
Yes, post grad mechanical engineering ... Chico State.

PS. It is vary evident in the people I meet those that have higher educations than those that do not. In their speech, their dress, that status in life. Their manner of communication...word power or lexicon.
Conversely the opposite is profoundly obvious too.

Joined military out of school and then spent a year or so working min wage jobs before deciding that wasnt for me. College at 30 and it was the best decision Ive ever made. Now I just have to convince my kid to go straight to college and not waste time like me. One of the most important decisions you will ever make.
I started college with no real drive or ambition. I ended up failing out of school through laziness, not lack of intelligence. After some time away from school, I decided to go back for a computer science degree and actually apply myself. That was one of the best decisions I've made.
Uni dropout here... No regrets, I just took the classes I liked, hard/soft science classes.bio/chem/botany/micro computer classes.. whatever I felt like.. I kinda made it up.. eventually got tired of it.
