on the micro side with cfl's
i come in close to $10 per zip
which sounds about right, cfl's are ok, but does make the new LED bulbs attractive

Back when I had a perpetual going. My calculations put it under $20 per oz all costs included.

I'm at a commercial site, mixed use, stealth micro,
with lots of variables, but I estimated once at $8.00 per 30grams.

Not enough to think about, 72W veg, 165W flower.

If I grew commercial with 5KW bet your ass I would know to
the gram what it cost, lol

Old thread.

Anyhow I figured organic indoor soil is $0.25 a gram for power and nutrients. Not equipment costs like replacing gear.

Just power and nutrients are in the ballpark of 25 cents a gram. Hydro could be more for power and less for chem nutes. Organic hydro would cost a fortune.

This could not be anymore important and valid today. With cost and end result justifying operational investments.

I average over 1000 watts per plant and 4000 KWH per month for a bit over a pound. Local electricity is .28/KWH.
Total cost of electricity per ounce harvested is $70.
Money is tripled at $200 per ounce. Folks that sell at $400/ounce are making pretty good money compared to me.

It costs me about $200AU ($150US) in electricity for a complete crop. That's running everything including 600HPS, veg room, fans and pumps etc.
I usually get a pound or more so about $20AU per oz ($15US). Our electricity is over 30c kwh though.

What are people paying per kw in Canada and the US? I see all these 10+ light grows so I'm assuming it's cheap.

Truth is the actual power bill is about 2x the stated rate. Take the total bill cost and divide b the stated kwh. With fees, riders, taxes, it's right about 2x. They say we pay 8 cents but it's more like 16.

On PGE including the high use surcharge I pay 43 cents per kilowatt hour, which for me breaks down to 500 bucks per pound.
