How many clones per month can I take from mother?

Hey guys, been floating around the website the past two years. So much great info here.. anyways.

Im setting up a micro grow inside a closet and was hoping for a perpetual grow. There is good possibility I can get my hands on a fresh clone of Northern Lights. When I do aquire this clone im going veg her at least a month before I start taking clones from her. I need to base the size of my flowering room determining how many clones I can take from my mother each month.

I live in Texas and clones are hard to come by. As far as lighting goes in the veg room will probably be using CFL's, under 400 watts, and running 18/6. Id like to take cuttings every 2 weeks, maybe at least 3 or 4. If I cant take that many ever 2 weeks than I might change the dimensions of my veg and clone room to fit 2 mothers in.

I dont want my mother to get extremely huge since it will be inside a closet. Unless I do some type of vertical veg room if thats possible.

it all depends on the size of the clone doner...and how healthy ya keep her...3-4 every two weeks is doable..just keep her healthy and you should have no issues getting your 3-4 cuts...

I usually take 40 clones at a time. For that I keep 4 mothers.

AT THE MOMENT I RECKON I COULD GET ABOUT 80 CLONES OFF THEM

The constant taking of clones encourages multiple branches to develop, dramatically increasing the number of clone sites. So if you only want a few, one mum is enough.

Im assuming the clone mother that will be donated will only be a few inches tall. I tried cloning once a few years ago with no success, but I didnt have proper lighting and soil back then. The soil I used held alot of water and mold started forming all over the cloning box/pot I used.

But when I was doing my research back then I did remember that taking cuts promotes new shoots or branches. But I wasnt sure about the regrowth rate.

Any perpetual micro growers that can give me an average of how many clones you take a month? My Veg box will probably be no bigger than 2 feet inside a closet. So ideally my mother wont be huge.

I have a few bonsai mothers that I use to supply my perpetual micro sog. I can easily take 4 clones of every two weeks from one of my mothers, but as Grass lands states they need to be healthy, with no deficiencies for it to give me that. The other thing is that if I want 4 clones I will cut 6 just to make sure I have enough when the time comes. It doesnt hurt to have to many.

Depends on the size of your mother. I supercropped my last mom and would have able to take dozens of clones a week if I had needed them.
